Every single one of these one interviews, Sascha is smoking a cigarette and En Esch is drinking from a styrofoam cup.

KMFDM was always so ahead of their time. The one thing I've learned as a lifelong KMFDM fan is: KMFDM is always right.

I wouldn't say that. I became a fan over 33 years ago and they were wrong for breaking up and reuniting without En Esch and Gunter Schultz

@@ThermalDetonatorTV I highly disagree. I love classic KMFDM, but they weren't about their lineup. They were about the music. Behind the music were the people. If they couldn't get along, no music. They have a great sound these days. If you're stuck in the past, you can never appreciate the evolution of art. If you disagree, there's always Slick Idiot for you 🤷‍♂️

@@KMFDM_Kid2000 The lineup invented their hybrid sound and music kid. Half of those songs in the old days were sung by En Esch, the whole guitar sound came from Gunter Schultz who was the one that taught Sacha had a program music on a computer in the first place. KMFDM post-millennium is not the same band, period. And yes I know about Slick Idiot, I booked their first Hollywood show in 2002.

@@KMFDM_Kid2000I have liked some of the post reunion stuff. Blitz and WWIII are amongst my fav KMFDM albums. And I agree people fall out. But the breakup/ reunion seems like a shitty thing to do. As for living in the past, sascha plays old kmfdm song but doesn’t allow NS to play them. Kinda lame I’d say. I have some connects to NS who are in the know and it seems like him and gunther get fucked over pretty bad. I’ve found the last few KMFDM albums to be really uninspired and not very good (same with Ministry). I might be stuck in the past but I hate mediocre.

@@9-11TrueCrimesagreed. My buddy plays with Slick Idiot/en esch, although he didn’t at that time. I had the pleasure of hanging out with EN Esch on the Spank Tour. Great guy. Actually En Esch rerecorded buddys song for the spank album. Terrorist in my bed.

I interviewed Sascha back in 1990 maybe? Very cool guy. Hung out with them backstage a bit and En Esch let me eat one of their sandwiches lol. They put on such great shows back then, and I saw them a couple years ago and it was the same.

Nah, he's a fuckin' goof. He came and did a DJ set at Bunker here in LA and I chatted him up after the club closed. He's definitely weird, but he's a kind guy.

They were the first band I ever saw live. January 5th 1990, when they opened for Ministry. However, the tour for the MONEY record they shined! Definitely jammed more.

And here in 2012 we are still fighting the censorship battle, having just stopped SOPA and PIPA until both items are written in a way that it protects freedom of speech and artists together.

Nah, I love Klassic KMFDM a lot, but these days they have a fuller, more aggressive sound. It's not really an either/or proposition anyway. It's the same 40 years of conceptual continuity. Their 90s stuff was amazing, but take any track off of UAIOE for example, put it up against Amnesia, Krank, Let Go, it just doesn't sound as refined. And I'll grant you UAIOE has some iconic songs and lyrics that got constantly referenced throughout the years. Very strong classic album.

I don't think there is any, in all my days of collecting VHS bootlegs I never came across listings of any bootlegs of ministry or kmfdm, and those were the two bands I was always looking for, as well as skinny puppy.
