    Yeah I bought this one too. Hoping it’d make my coffee decent enough so I’d stop spending $4.50 every day at the cafe. Coffee prices are going up and up here lately, it’s nuts

    very kewl. I only have the $2 gadget from IKEA (battery powered) wouldn't mind trying this...but I'd also want a coffee machine too...ah consumerism and I'm such a victim...ho hum.

    Yeah I have that same cheap Ikea one which has lasted over 15 years now haha. This is great though, and we used it a fair bit till we bought an actual coffee machine!

    I guess you gotta heat than frother because foam has a lot of air trapped which works like thermal blanket from getting hot

    Yeah I'd say so. Milk is also technically an emulsion of fat solids in water, so heating it would soften those lipids.

    I have one but it is from ALDI, it worked similar to this one but not as many buttons on it and mine is silver.

    @@platima It was a few years ago now, maybe under 20? but very similar to the one you show here. ALDI did make a much larger one as well.

    @@steviebboy69 Oh that's decent then! Glad it's lasted so long too. I am trying to figure out why so many were seemingly stolen from my local shop. Surely it can't be used to make meth or THC oil =/ Unless I am missing some seriously useful info haha

    @@steviebboy69 That's what I thought so I went there myself - checked shelves, specials areas, warehouse, etc. Only the demo unit on display. The chick was stumped too. Had to start Googling what chemical reactions have a heat catalyst and occur at 65C haha

    Hey yeah it definitely works, but just slightly differently. At a glance skim milk or low fat froths but does not hold its shape as well, given less fats, HOWEVER, some skim milk is loaded with protiens, and this holds the foaminess even better than regular milk! If you want to know about a specific milk, I can just test it for you! Cheers

    Haha fuck yes great idea. Going to do that... maybe when the missus is out! The one downside is gravy water needs to be boiling ideally, but cannot hurt to try!

    Unfortunately no bueno. Does not get hot enough. Maybe some gravies would work if it could do 70C, but at 60C it just wouldn't happen!

    Mate is it hot though? Every frother I've tried the milk only ends up a touch hot... I like my coffee hot as I can possibly get it.

    Hey yep 60C (140 in freedom units). So definitely bloody hot to the touch. I think in one part of the video I burn myself haha. Much hotter than that and you'll start to cook the milk. I wish it went to 65C so I could cook eggs in it haha.

    wouldn't it be smarter to heat the milk first then froth it ? trying to heat frothed milk is nearly impossible due to all the air bubbles.

    Mine works great for cows milk but does not froth almond milk at all ): although some people said it does froth almond milk on kmart reviews? The first one I bought was a dud at didn't turn on at all so I had to go back and swap it.

    That is quite odd, maybe measure the temperature with a thermometer? I only have full cream milk here sorry!

    I have since found out you can add either a 1/4 tsp of corn starch or a spoon of collagen powder to get a thick froth for almond milk...I add collagen creamer to my coffee any way as I like the taste of it ,so now I just add it directly to milk first.@@platima

    Yep absolutely - as long as you're only after a small cup! 160ml if using frothing, else 320ml for just warming.

    Woah take it back to the store, that's faulty. It maxes out at 60C, and that is not enough to burn milk, so yours is certainly overheating!
