There is more to this. Nanavati was serving his prison sentence when another Sindhi businessman (also a "freedom fighter") was found guilty of black market/hoarding. He too was sent to prison. Later the Union Govt worked out a deal. The Sindhi business man can be pardoned, but Nanavati also will get pardoned. Sindhi community agreed. Gov of Maharashtra using Constitutional privilege pardoned the two. Nanavati and family emigrated to a foreign country soon after.

in my college, they said that few hours later he drove his wife n children to theatre and then left them there and went to the ship to get a revolver, and then to Ahuja's home. please tell me what is correct
