+OwnsGermany I like your video. Great footage! Interesting to hear how loud the 787's RAT actually is. The RAT alone sounds as if a small propeller plane flies by. Hahaha. Meanwhile, the PH-BHC has arrived at its home base Amsterdam Airport Schiphol (EHAM / AMS), where I filmed it during its delivery flight landing on November 14 and during its 'Welcome Flights' on November 22. I think it's a really beautiful bird.

+Avgeek Gk That's right. Its name has now been unveiled: 'Sunflower'. KLM will name all of its 787 Dreamliners after flowers.

+greg smith Something wrong with the business class seats. PH-BHC will be the first one to be delivered to KLM with BHA following shortly after the issue is fixed!

Eye catching livery. I was disappointed to read that the whole 787 fleet is STILL experiencing failures of the lithium ion batteries. There are those who say they have determined that Boeing can't possibly make any money (profit) on the entire 1,100 787's now under order. Boeing disputes this! Just some random scuttle-butt !

KLM 787 is powered by which engines- GEnX or Trent 1000?

+SPCstopmotionpilot , you heard the RAT (Ram Air Turbine) that was deployed. You can see it on the right-bottom part of the fuselage, just behind the wing. Kinda cool, the RAT is a piece of kit rarely seen. It produces hydraulic and electrical power in case of major system malfunctions.

Was that the ram air turbine deployed on landing? If so, why?

Plane has no sensors... pitot, aoa, etc

since a few months ago because the boeing 777 ( you now that very big one) is going away because it's to expensive for KLM and the dreamliner is less expensive so that's why there are right now 2 dreamliners but there are 19 coming up but don't worry the boeing 777 is still flying right now 👍

B787 series is the best & original, no other A/C can compared. A350 a copycat, pirated or xerox/photo copy of B787.
