@@Youthman all of them look pretty cool unfortunately I would never be able to afford those I'm lucky to have the one I've had for seems like 10 years now I think it's a 12 Inch 240 max Klipsch ported on the back it still hits the neighbors don't like it living in a apartment but it doesn't matter I turn it up to piss them off and at times you can even hear their sub thinking they can out do you but mine is better and believe it or not this 12 Inch is connected to a old reader's digest stereo from back in the day well sorry for it being a long message but I had to tell you oh yeah just one more thing this stereo is only a dinky 50 watts but the sub Hits with no distortion I can hear well anyway like these videos these are great.
I like the way they did the knobs on the back! Very attractive and ergonomic!
Been waiting for a video with these thanks youthman 🔥🍿
I'm looking forward to seeing "The Beast". I could see it being an 18" sub. What I'd really like to see is a class-leading sub for the Heritage series.

Lots of guys have been asking for a heritage sub for many years.
I can't wait to get my hands on two 16" subs. Klipsch has never let me down and I drive them super hard. Love how they can drop low.
Dual 12 inch woofers seem like the sweet spot. Reasonably priced full range below the 20hz floor.
Will be interesting once someone measures the 16 inch subwoofer. Looks beautiful like all Klipsch products do.
I’m actually looking forward to these subs. They seem affordable and I’m looking to add two more into my setup in the rear for a 7.4.6. I currently have two SVS SB16ultras and in the past using a DSP I was able to mix two of the Klipsh 12 inch woofers with them and it sounded awesome actually. Can’t wait to try it out.

Thanks for the demo and info 👍🏼 Youthman from England 🏴
I can not wait. I'm building a surround sound system i have 4 surround speakers and 2 atmos down firing Height speakers just need the LCR either RP8000f II or RP8060fa II RP504c II and subs. even if they are not SVS thumpers they are perfect for me.
Best to demo in your home or a retail store before passing on these! Don’t get hung-up on wattage. I have an old, low-wattage, 12” Paradigm ported sub which pumps out clean, loud, low, accurate bass. It is only rated at 110w RMS, 330w peak.
Good for Klipsch, looks like an upgrade from the previous R-line. But if its enough for me to not keep my SVS sb4000, im not sure. They should work on getting an app aswell, or atleast a remote
It seems like these may be the best value in subs now. Amazing.
Love the fact my dealer carries Klipsch. So now I can go listen to them when they get them in. I hope the RP-1600SW!

@@Youthman Will do!
Thanks brother. Great info.
Very excited to see what the beast is! I already have 1 SPL-150 and have been waiting for this new line to add another sub to my HT! Don’t know if I should wait for the RP-1600SW to come back in stock or to see what the “beast” is…😆 Also, ideally want the same model/size sub but wanted to know @youthman thoughts on mix matching the new 1600SW with my SPL150. Thought about the idea of selling the 150 and getting 2 1600’s but don’t want to go through the hassle if I don’t have to. Thanks for the video as always @Youthman! 🔈🔈🔈
I bought the SPL 150 around this time last year from audio advice and the amp went out in December and I took it back to them for repairs. Last month I reached out to them about it and they said that they were waiting for Klipsch to send a replacement amp but no worries it's still under warranty. I've read Klipsch warranty and it says that if they no longer carry a product that's in for repairs that they would send you the new product of equal or higher value/quality. Maybe they'll send me one of the new ones, I'd like to try the 16 but will take the 14. After taking the SPL 150 back to the store I pulled the trigger on the PB 3000 and it's definitely a upgrade but if they repair the 150 hopefully it'll be with the new amps they're using in new subs. When I got the sub I also got the RP line of speakers, from the 8000f to Dolby Atmos and everything in between, so an RP sub sure would be right at home here. Thanks for the review. Klipsch did send me an email saying be on the lookout for something special to come out on the 1st and I guess this was it.
It all depends on the sound you you’re looking for. Ive never owned a Klipsch sub. I couldn’t decide between SVA subs or REL. Went with the REL… I love every bit of it!

Will there be app based control and room correction like SVS? The new Elac line of subwoofers were also just released and have app based control, room correction.
If the street price is somewhat lower, they may be a good option. Curious to see how the 14" and 16" measure against the SVS 3000 pro at $1,800.

@@Damien-Lugnut The 3000 is in fact aa 3000 "Pro"; the Pro moniker was added to subs that got SVS bluetooth app and built in DSP. The 3000 was the first sub in that lineup. They added Pro to the others when those got upgraded, but the SB and PB 3000 have the original "Pro" functionality. You're technically correct, but also not. :p
Things I like: I like the long-throw sub drivers and I really like the rubber feet. I hate spikes on carpet because then the subs are hard to scoot without tearing up the floor. Setting them on a bare floor flat also doesn't work.
With those curved corners and vinyl finish they look very similar to the Polk HTS series.

I hope they fixed the issue with their crossover module. I have an R112sw and (most likely) while I was cleaning it, I accidentally switched the amp to the permanent-on setting. Now I have a perfectly fine chassis and a working amp but because of one resistor within the crossover being fried I can throw everything away due to Klipschs' poor spare-part availability. ):
Hello youthman I know this is not the right place for this question but could you recommend me a good projector to use in my home theater in daylight
I'm perfectly happy with one 12 inch car sub mounted in a 3.5 ft3 box tuned to 25 hz to mate with my homebuilt khorns.
Good Day. Excellent Review & Details. If I didn't already have two 12" Polk subwoofers, I would buy the 16" sub. I love BIG and just because. Thanks & Best Regards. I just found this site and subscribed.
does this brand come with a box? it seems like all the vids i’ve seen on this particular sub have the same box? if so i would def get it if it’s easy to setup and doesn’t require as much work like other brands
I have 2 RSW-15s In my media room setup. They are overkill for that room and I don't think I will ever replace them. That being said, The new 16 looks intriguing. but at that price point its got a lot to live up to.

Absolutely one of the best subs Klipsch has ever made.
I just replaced my Klipsch subwoofers in my HT with something that packs more punch (REL 1205 pair). These new Klipsch subs look nice, but unless the performance is a huge improvement from what we've seen in the past I don't see them being a success at those prices. I agree. I like what I’m seeing so far.
They are getting better and better
The main reason I went away from Klipsch subwoofers was the reliability of their amps. Switched to the REL HT series. The Klipsch do get lower in frequency range. But the agility and accuracy of the REL is much preferred by me personally. Plus the reliability of the amplifier means I can beat and hound on the subwoofer all day and it doesn’t break a sweat and I’m not worried about it dying randomly in a year or two.
Klipsch used to be a super good brand. they once even made this 12 inch sub with 2 12 inch radiators that was super powerful. Hopefully this time they will make a comeback and compete. Im excited to see what the 16 inch woofer can do with the starting scene of edge of tommorow.. or even the starting scene from godzilla which made you jump if im correct.

I owned a pair of the RT-10D and a single RT-12d that you are referring to. Sadly it bottomed out even on their built in demo and the sub walks if on hard surface due to its triangular shape. Solid output though.

The specs indicate to me that Klipsch designed these subs to fit somewhere between the ones in the SVS lineup and not to be direct competitors to their respective counterparts just based on cone diameter. Their 14" seems to have an amplifier design better comparable to the one in the 13" SVS. Prices are suddenly better aligned between the brands if you adjust for all specs and not only woofer size. So on paper it seems like a fair competition. We'll just have to see how they do in real testing. Thus far SVS clearly had the upper hand over Klipsch in my opinion.
Sorry but for those prices and specs, monolith and svs still have nothing to worry about.
Eagerly awaiting info on THE BEAST. Seems so common that people (like me) combine their RF7s and RC64s with SVS PB16s. Would be nice to see Klipsch release something to compliment their Mid-High offerings. And with the new 16" being $1800, I suspect the Beast would be in that $2400-$3000 sweet spot held by the PB-16 Ultras👍

Well, it's really strange that after 2 or 3 months of the release, you can't find any review from this subs, or any battle with other subs. It looks like klipsch doesn't want to send this subs to channels like youthman. Are they hiddind something? Maybe the numbers they said are not accurate?

I find it interesting that you’re making assumptions. I have been in contact with Klipsch. The reason they haven’t sent any for review is because they don’t have any to send yet. They will make their rounds to various content creators when they are available. Just have to be patient. In a perfect world, companies would be able to send out review units, so that on day, one of announcing their new product, reviews get posted. But that RARELY ever happens in the AV space.
On the 16 they didn't go far enough an 18 inch 2000w would be epic

You are correct Tre. Their target is not JTR. Those are on a completely different level. These are designed to compete with the likes of SVS offerings.
Can anyone explain the difference between say a 12" sub vs a 16" other than the freq response. I mean in terms of sound quality and how it might affect a song? I know human can only hear from 20 Hz to 20,000 Hz, is there a purpose having the freq of 16 Hz with these subs? I would love to purchase a sub but a bit overwhelmed with these sizes.
@Youthman
2 ай бұрын
You don’t hear much below 20Hz but we do feel it. IMO, sub 20Hz is where the fun begins. My subs play down to 5Hz. Once you experience single digits, it’s pretty incredible. The larger the driver, the more surface area. The more surface area, the more air movement. The more air movement, the easier it is to pressurize the room.

Neither SVS or Klipsch are competing with JTR. That’s a whole different level.
I've been looking at either replacing my RP-600Miis with RP-6000Fiis or replacing my mis-matched (Polk 10" 60W and SPL-120) co-located subs (stacked on top of each other) with one more powerful sub. When reviewing the dimensions of the tower speakers and realizing they physically wouldn't fit in my room without major rearranging and furniture removal, I ordered the sub. I should get it next week :) I'm getting mine form Paducah Home Theater for $695, and since I live "next door" in IL, no tax added!! I'll be going from a 7.2.4 to a 7.1.4, but the new sub will dig much deeper so It'll still be good.

I would highly recommend checking out home theater, gamers, mini DSP series. When you have multiple subwoofers, it’s important to time align them so the bass hits your listening position at the same time. Also if they are out of phase, it can cause cancellations. A UMIK-1 or UMIK-2 and REW will allow you to see your frequency response and whether you have any cancellations in your room.
@Audiomainia2310

For the 10" sub, 300 watts RMS on a ported system is very adequate - I do question the frequency response if 19 khz however. The front slotted port reminds me of the first generation RSL Speedwoofer 10S - that was under $500.00 and a fantastic performer. So there are a lot of options out there / some with BASH amplification for less. So far the price, I'll pass.

. That may be true of their speaker line up, but one dedicated speaker focusing on notes below 400 Hz ? And 19 Hz for a 10" sub? What's the SPL maximum at peak?
Still not enough watts . I have 2 rythmik F18 good luck to klipsch
Performance need to be tested to confirm. They made subwoofers wider than necessary instead making them taller, which end up taking up more precious floor space in many homes and bad for WAF. There is no way a 10" subwoofer can reach 19Hz at -3db, no matter how much power the amp provides, even if it can reach that low , it must be in a small room with a lot of distortion. Class D amp fails very early compared to class AB. One of my PSB sub with class H died, I powered with an external class AB amp. It works great.
Only time will tell, my SPL-150 was dead within a year. Didn't even use it that much. Wasn't very happy when is saw the insides, either. Will get it repaired via warranty of the seller, but wouldn't buy a Klipsch Sub again.
I don't understand why subs do not have remotess, or at least a front display panel to show the settings. It would make fine-tuning much easier when you can see the settings clearly and better still, sit back and adjust.
I hope they’ve fixed their plate amp issues. Nothing like electronics breaking from the very own vibrations they create!

Does anyone else wish more Subwoofer manufacturers Would build subs that were Wider or taller Instead of deeper. For the 16. Once you leave some room to put cabling And get to the adjustments. You're gonna be at least 30 inches off the wall. Personally I'd rather It be shallow as possible. use 1 or both of the other dimensions to get the air space it needs. Especially if it's going behind a screen.

When you have a huge driver in a ported cabinet you need a really long port tube. Monolith 15" is also really long (700mm) and they still needed to bend the tube. It's not possible to make a good ported subwoofer igf you want a big speaker and a powerful amp.

I’m a little embarrassed but that 10” Klipsch sub. costs more than my whole system! I paid $100 for my like new Sony STR-DH750 7.2 receiver. I paid $154 & change for my 5.0 Jamo 8 series speakers new on Amazon. I paid $60 for 2 used Energy 200 watt 8” down firing subs & maybe $100 for cables, speaker wire & banana plugs. Not bad for a little over $400! My living room is only 11’ by 14’ with an 8’ ceiling so it doesn’t take much. That’s why I don’t use the other 2 channels on my receiver. Lol Could it be better? Yes, but it sounds real good for low quality components. I bought only components in new or almost new condition. Plenty for my little living space.

I see a lot of the comments saying get SVS or monolith or whatever. Klipsch is known for bad subs. I’ll say ok I have not owned a klipsch sub I can’t say. Also, I can see alot of complaints about the power output. I don’t know about you guys but my living room is a small one about 20sqm and I’m running a cheap 10 years old Samsung sound bar with wireless sub. Roughly a 100 - 150w sub and it actually can play loud enough and go deep enough ( probably not below 30hz ) to piss of my neighbours. I guess you all have a huge living spaces but I can see a 400w RMS good enough. I can’t talk about sound quality as i never owned one neither reliability. Anyway, I’m a kind of person that like to have a nice looking set up in my living space. For example klipsch speakers with matching sub, not mix and match kinda thing. I’m not a brand loyal as I did not own any of the reputable brands ( apart of my 10 years old Samsung saoundbar) so I hope klipsch subs are ok this time so I can go and get a set of the nines and a sub. Or I have to go to different brand that offers speakers and subs. I will appreciate if someone points out to me the difference between a klipsch sub and SVS for example but not in terms of power rather sound quality. I like loud music and deep base don’t get me wrong but the sound quality is more important. ( I knowI there is not a great quality out of an old cheep sound bar)
@santiagoezquerrocordon1470

You don't need a lot of power to have decent output at 50hz. That powerful subs amps are for the lower frecuencies. Also low frecuencies are mostly room dependant, so to have a good low frecuencies sound (15-120hz) you need to EQ that. It's almost imposible to EQ a dip in the bass response but you can reduce the power in the peaks.... That means that when you EQ all the frecuencies, you'll need to have a powerful amp to get gain in the volume after reduce some of the frecuencies. The more power you have the more you can EQ. Other good thing about power, it's that if you want a clean ad tight response, you need a lot of power to quickly start the speaker, and stop it. Imagine a car, you could say... With my small 90 hp car, i already can drive at 90mph, and I can slow down the car, why do I need more power and better brakes?? Well if you have a 300 horse power car with much better brakes , you can over take other cars much quicker, and in case you need it, you can stop your car in less time. When you say you already piss of your neighbors with your sub, that doesn't mean you have nice low frecuencies sound, that only means you have a box making noise. Most cheap subs are dual yo have "decent output at 60hz, but really low volume in other frecuencies.
Hello Michael
I loved mine but I had the amps die in them repeatedly. I had 4 115sw and I went through amps like hookers go through underwear. Sadly I won’t trust them again although they did replace my amps consistently and multiple times for each sub. Not even their revised amp worked out for me.
