A women with courage and manners to describe feudal facets of society.. Those people who were ruling at that time were really powerful. She should have to come hard on that aspect. Moreover, living with really rich people are better than feudal system.

Karachi is the Capitol of Sindh. This function is being conducted by local ladies. Why the colonial English Language is being used? How many shall be able to understand? In France French. In Italy Italian. In China Chinese. Why in Karachi English?

The interviewer seems indifferent and uninvolved. Tehmina is an intelligent woman who should be interviewed by someone of her level.

She is very brave to write about her sufferings, then as a result, she lost her children and her family. More women need to speak out about how badly they are treated and this can enact a change some place. It is perfectly acceptable for these men to seriously abuse their wives and it is just brushed under the rug, seemed as something normal, especially in a place like Pakistan. Our sisters on the other side of the world are suffering. We need start an awareness here, change the culture and change the world. She followed Mr. EDHI who was the most charitable man in Pakistan, who began with nothing in his pocket to help children without parents. I saw his orphanages there. I can see how in meeting with Mr. EDHI, she somehow found her faith in God for which she was despairing as Islam is normally a cold dark place. Edhi saheb was a saintly man who truly changed THOUSANDS or lives. I feel she is extraoridarily talented, has a keen mind and you can see by her actions that she is involved in a great cause.

It was indeed a surprise for me , when strolling through an European City street , my eyes caught a glimpse of a Pakistani women on a book cover written in French. It was late Ninetees. The book actually was " My Feudal Lord" . Such was the fame which Tehmina got , by writing that book. Later on when back in Pakistan , I got the chance of reading the English version.. It was shocking to read about her experiences with Khar.

She was tortured by her ex-husband in all kinds of ways. She was forced to be a submissive woman throughout her life and only suffered pain and anxiety by everyone around her. The book not only portrayed her courage and strength that she had to build over the years but it is also a form of inspiration for the all the tortured muslim women out there who can't raise their voices against the patriarchal and feudal system prevalent in Lahore.
