Very underrated. I think its because he plays off the ball. A majority of his baskets are assisted. People don't respect that for some reason, they overvalue scorers who pound the rock for 20 seconds.

Skips rant had nothing to do with anything. Shannon made since. Dont cut short a guys historic night. Im pretty sure Klay wasnt exhausted and needed oxygen. Let this man or any other hot shooter finish out with whoever you put in the game with any size lead. It makes no sense to me. If Klay was coming off an injury or some circumstance was limiting his time on the court thats one thing. But Kerr arbitrarily cutting a mans shooting night down for no good reason is a selfish act really. Let your players finish the game...like Jordan, like all players of the past. Kerr, you aint so special that pulling a players off their special night is some sort of genius act...it aint.

Kerr low-key a Kobe fan
I really like Skip & Shannon's chemistry. Stephen A and skip were good too, but since neither of them had played sports on a professional level, sometimes they went overboard. Shannon is a hall of fame athlete and he is very, very well spoken, its great to see skip play off of that.

Not the same thing. Sitting him next game if he's not exhausted won't do them any good either. Playing him when they're ahead almost 50 points is pointless though since they're going to get that W and they risk any of their starters getting hurt in a pointless quarter

I agree, I think the Warriors focusing on just winning games and getting better along the way as the season progresses is going to serve them much better down the road than going for personal records and accolades. The focus is to win an NBA Championship, not break personal records.

Absolutely wrong it was the injuries too bogut and iggy that did the warriors in, think about it all year long they had the same rotation and subs until the finals also iggy and bogut were there primary defenders when playing against lebron James, remember iggy had won won the FMVP just the year before so that’s who the warriors lost in that finals it equals to kyrie and love not playing the first time around!!
Should have let him play more. Early in the season, all on back door and jumpers,high efficiency... let him score 80 like a man without ball hogging and jackining up 40 or 50 shots

I have to agree with Skip, the Warriors got the record breaking 72 wins last season but it took a big time toll on them and they paid the price. They won't worry about records this season which is why they won't win 73 games this season, but I have a feeling they'll be a much stronger and focused squad come playoff time. Oh don't get me wrong now, they'll still win 60-plus games, but they'll pace themselves much better this time and won't make that mistake again. They might win 63, 65, 68 games or something, but I definitely like them to win the championship so long as they're healthy.
I used 94 Ovr Klay Thompson on 5v5 domination 2k21 and got him to score 90 points in one game this guy is special

Anyone that says they traded KD for their bench they don't know that HB got paid 94 mil we were gonna lose barbosa bogut and ezeli either way. shouldve kept speights tho but this team has enough scoring tbh.

Kerr a Pop disciple...he ain't letting no player chase a personal goal... just check how many times he benched Curry after 3Qtrs during his 2nd MVP season...when he was regularly racking up 40Pts by the 3rd
@mpup54

Kerr is killing scoring history everytime he pulls a hot shooter. So their stats sort of become illegitimate and cut off as a result.
If Klay had dropped 80, Skip would still talk about the 2016 Warriors loss.
Klay is a beast
Skip roasted Shannon,lol
I understand that people would have liked to see how much Klay could have scored, but they had the game won by the fourth already. Putting him in just to score more points puts him at risk of turning and ankle or something, though it's very unlikely.

Irrelevant. Plus, the way Kobe had it going v. Dallas, he'd have finished with 85ish. And it was *much more* impressive to do it with a team that focused all its defense on Kobe (whereas Klay is sitting there sniping because of the amount of respect they have for KD/Steph), and against the Finals-bound, Western Conference Mavs no-less (as opposed to the current 8-seed in the LEastern Conference).
@eskimo289

Doubt it. And besides... Kobe did it because he HAD to. And Kobe scored 55 points in the second half in that game. I mean... and they needed it all to win. It doesn't seem likely that Klay would top what Kobe did.
@mpup54
5 жыл бұрын
you guys are all missing the point. Even if Klay had a flat 4th quarter or didnt shoot much, he has an entire game to hang his hat on for 70, 75 whatever. Denying him a chance at his greatest full game each and every opportunity is a disgusting move by Kerr no matter who the hot player is.
I agree with Shannon
About to go on a 5 game 7 day road trip. Kerr is not stupid.
Shay was a good TE that’s for sure
Kerr killed a once-of-a-life-time opportunity for Klay, for the Dub nation, and for all the basketball fans in the world.
You Guys Have wonderful chemistry, LeBron Pajamas #Skip got on that 1 Sharpe
He said Smush Parker.......
Klay had the most efficient game in NBA history, solidifying him as the 2nd best shooter ever. Can't take that away from him
Joy is absolutely gorgeous!!!! she looks better each week.
60 in 29 minutes is more than impressive enough...going beyond that would certainly have been a temptation of the Basketball Gods for something bad to happen to Klay (i.e. an injury), Steve Kerr did the right thing.
klay is the only warrior ill ever consider liking BUT im glad he got subbed out before he broke heso melo jello hello fellow's point record among active players
Shannon is so funny when he says skip's name
This is the 2nd best scoring performance ever
Skip's explanation at the end does not justify anything. Because if the Warriors were that tired, HOW DID THEY GO 3-1 against the Cavs? Fatigue had nothing to do with them losing the championship... They robbed clay of a LEGENDARY accolade. So unfortunate.
listen to shannon sharpe with 0.5x speed he sound like bill cosby lmao
now ppl gone ride kaly
One of the few times I agree with Shannon. Let the guy play. Let's just see what he can do. Who cares about running the score up? I can't imagine how Klay feels. If I were in his shoes, I would always look back and wonder what could have happened.
I'm with Unc , just imagine if Phil would have pulled Kobe against Toronto in L.A that night!
Did he say Smush Parker lmfao
I think he should have been Givin the opportunity to at least go for 70. But I agree with Shannon Kerr should have had him on a time line. And if wasn't done in that window. Then you pull him...
Kerr definetly had a quick chat with Klay about if Klay wanted to stay on the court and if Klay wanted to Kerr would've let him play. We all know he's that type of coach who has a great communicative and understanding empowering relationship with his player. It wasn't Kerr's call to not play Klay in the 4th
Herro im kray. I rike hittin frees
I agree with shanon For the first time
Good thing he didn't get on fire the day after (today). lol
Klay is great off the ball player he move around to get his self open and can shoot from anywhere and he proved that he is the best shooter when he hot!! 37 in a quarter and 60 in 29 minutes! Curry can shoot and he shoot alot and he have the ball In his hands but Klay is showing if he was the first option and every game they feed him to let him get hot he becomes unstoppable because of his movement with out the ball and his quick shooting he could overall be better than Curry because he have D just think about it
yes, just to see what he could of scored total. but still what a effort maybe the jets need to hav a sit down with klay on effort no matter what ur record is or isnt.
Shanno you just proved my point . It's easier to score when you have Durant and Curry on your team an theirs looking to pass to you
Guarantee you if Klay played that last quarter as hot as he was in the that 3rd, i think he would have broken Kobes 81
Is Shannon is the guy in arrow?
kerr should never have pulled someone this injury prone
yea Klay is a superstar. Warriors are so much better bc of him hes rlly overlooked. cant believe cavs passed on him lmao
Steph is a better shooter overall but nobody ever gets hot like Klay. When he’s in the zone at 6ft 7 he’s completely unplayable
Who’s here after his Achilles tear🥺
full ball game 80 fosho
Yall heard that skip admitted that Lebron is the greatest ever
Kobe having SMUSH PARKER is a benefit to Kobe????! In Kobe's 62 point game and 81 point game he was the entire focal point of the opposing teams defense. Constant double teams. Kobe needed 81 to win a game against the struggling raptors, that's how much smush parker and bynum benefited Kobe. Klay had 1 shot contested. The rest were open jump shots off screens and wide open layups, you know why? The last 3 MVPs were on the floor.. so what do you think the focal point of the pacers defense was?
@DavidHernandez-ug9gb
7 жыл бұрын
Gregor Von DOOM Yes EXACTLY THANK YOU! This idiot doesn't get it, Kobe did it against the Mavs who went to the finals that yr, and he was the number 1 option, not the 3rd option who was freed up to shoot since the Pacers were worried about Curry and Durant so much

Gregor Von DOOM bruh they saying klay is a third option and able to sneak that in and they wanted to see him play longer becuz of the opportunity they were not bringing down Kobe chill out watch again
@nomibe2911
6 жыл бұрын
He was saying he did it when he's the third option with 2 MVP players in the lineup with him. Who's really shocked or surprised when the number one option ala Jordan or Kobe has a big game. They have a wider margin of error to take more shots to get to a bigger game, a third option such as Klay has a smaller margin of error to have a big game and thus it's more impressive.
skip didnt even amswer the question
Im a believer in karma.. so I would not have kept him in. He probably would've gotten hurt. Then Kerr would subsequently be roasted for leaving him in. Remember what happened to the Pats after 'Spygate'? They set the league on fire and ran up the score on everyone as big middle finger. Then they lost to David Tyree's helmet and Brady went down for the year in Week 1 the following season. I blame Indiana for this.

2kman12 iman shumpert is overrated as a defender imo and jr comes and goes. The guys that do an exceptional job is bron and Thompson. If the dubs stay in motion as a trio with dray setting it up its a headache. Why go against your strength?
Kobe had 63 in 3 quarters against the mavs but it was game over so no need to risk injury but I guess with that team they can afford no Kalyan for a few games
it's just another 60 pts. game what would have separate it from the others is if they would have let him get to 70,75 or 80pts... only a few known to reach that... years from now .. how many NBA players blew of the spot for 60 ,it's along the same common occurrence as 40 or 50... we seen those b4.
