Conclusion: Johnny just lands few regular laser flips (if any of you struggle with laser, learn varialheels first from kicker and then try lasers, definitely easier than on flat)

This concept can be used to do 3 flips too, just grab the tail with your toes and underflip it with them

He has more "traditional" style of skateboarding (common rail tricks etc.). Maybe you like more that style. Giger is much "better" skater technically IMO.

Dario has got so good on a board! 🔥 I remember back in the day when he was always on the bmx... He was good on that too but seeing him develop on a skateboard and land such sick tricks is awesome!

Hey it’s me at :34 :D Also I learned this trick about 3 weeks ago and for everyone wanting to learn how to laser flip, I recommend learning how to frontside 360 pop shuvit first because you can understand how the heavy backfoot scoop works. If you can only Varial heel and not a frontside 360 pop Shuvit, definitely learn that first!

The tip I got from so old guy in a park when I was kid for Laser Flips was learn Frontside 360 Pop Shuvit entirely with you back foot only. By the time I mastered it, Laser became so much easier, like night and day difference. No different that 360 Flip when it comes to the back foot really... 360 Hardflip though... no tip has ever helped me, I'm just terrible at Hardflips haha

I'm gonna try this... I've been able to laser off a small kicker or small gap/drop for a long time but doing one on flat has always been sooooo hard. Takes so much effort to do the usual way. I can see how people do them switch (or especially nollie) with what looks like a lot less effort after looking at how you set up, it almost looks like you are set up switch.

Ive landed one or two lazer flips and all I can say is to think of it as the opposite of a 360 flip, hook REAL hard with the backfoot, kick your front foot straight up the board and jump back a little bit. if done right, you should be able get the full 360 rotation and flip. :)

Thing is about Laser Flips & Kiwi Flips, that if you just try to laser flip without the use of the heel, it’s gonna be a lot harder to get compared to Kiwi. I have “Laser Flips” or Kiwi Flips, even though I’m using my heel, I’m still kicking my front foot out like I would for a heelflip

I'm at 9:29 in the video. When I first started learning Lazer flips this is how I did them. I would actually use my toes on my front foot to almost grip the top of the board. Then underflip it. I was just trying to figure out how Lazer flips were done. I had no idea there was another name for this trick lol
