I has ever seen painting of the UH-1 as a scene waiting for the infantry engaged in combat firing. Even the pilot used a pistol to shooting enymy while he seating on pilot seat. Who has ever seen that painting?

Are the engine panels designed to be movable or did you make them movable? I know they are designed to be open or closed but yours move. Also the rotors on a Huey were not foldable like you made yours and the wire strike prevention parts were not on a Vietnam era Huey.

Lee Rilea, yes, I has make engine covers to be able for open & close. There was no such a point to build up that model according to how it’s should be, but such details is very interesting to read about, thank you for your comment.

It's a Vietnam era helicopter, Soc Trang tigers. Need to lose the cable cutters as well, they weren't added until years after the war ended.

Flawless job, good on you mate. what paint did you use for the fuselage ?

What a beautiful job! .... I would like this same model, only on a larger scale. As a 1/32 scale for example. Could you tell me something like that?

I don’t know what to advise you. I did not assemble models in 1/32 scale. It is probably more spectacular than 1/48. But I really love the fine detail. And most importantly, the 48th scale makes it possible to choose the manufacturer and the quality of the kit. Good luck. :)

In big scale, your options are very limited. The 1967 vintage Revell kit in 1:32 or the 1/35 Panda/Dragon kit. Both kits have issues-Revell has a misshapen front end (Hueys have faces) and the 1/35 kit is a pantograph enlargement of the 1/48 Italeri kit. Face is better, but rivets look like golf balls and the main rotor blades are for a UH-1N/212, not a UH1-D/H/205. Kitty Hawk was rumored to be releasing a 1/35 version later if the 1/48 sold well, but now we know that’s not happening. Marketplace, help us out!

Добрый день, Сергей! Очень рад, что Вас интересуют технические тонкости! Это редкость сегодня. Приятно! По модели: никаких секретов, терпение, хорошие инструменты и немного фантазии :) К сожалению, детально показать не могу. Делал на подарок три года назад. Сейчас модель недоступна. Нестандартное решение только по порталам (дверям). Пришлось повозиться, но «на пальцах» объяснить сложно. Из того, что видно, - узкая тонкая накладка поверху проема. Это верхний ограничитель. Внизу ограничитель в виде пластиковой скобы на полотне двери (его не видно). Попробуйте, все получится. Главное начать :) Удачи! Пишите. Константин
