And she’s lucky he wasn’t as feisty as the others because she wasn’t wearing gloves and he could have turned around and sunk his tiny needle sharp teeth in her hand. I know. Caught me some semi-feral kittens from under my neighbour’s porch last fall. Learned the hard way to get the garden gloves…

It's so great when both the mother and her kittens are all rescued. The mother won't be searching for her kittens never to find them, and the terrified kittens won't have to go through this ordeal without their mommy. They can be safe together 😊

@@heidibower2538 probably a lot of them! I had 4 kitties I swiped from a feral colony, they were all good kitties. 4 huge toms (all brothers) and one queen. She didn't have any kittens, but she could have been a good mama. They were all quite shy, that was a downfall. Not with me, but anybody else; and, they were beautiful cats! I wanted to show them off.

Same, but that also makes me question some ideas surrounding cats. I don't find them to be more independent than dogs. If they truly were, we'd have no reason to worry about them! Nobody (sensible) worries heavily about the lions or leopards when it rains, so cats are far more dependent than people let on...

We were called about kittens that were born at a colony we have been helping with TNR. We went out when there was a break in the rain and started searching for them. We managed to get all 5 kittens fairly fast. They were hiding in palm trees and against a fence. After getting the kittens, we were able to lure out mom by placing one of her kittens in our drop trap. She waited for the rain to stop before coming out and entering the trap. We are extremely grateful that we got her... It's always stressful when you have the babies and haven't been able to get Mom🤗 Mom and kittens were all reunited with us for a few days. The kittens got started on meds because they were sick. ​@@marittajamal2641 Most likely not if the mom is to farel to be rehabilitated. If that is the case she will then be spayed along with any medical shots that are needed, then be released back to the colony she came from. As far as I know all the colonies they work with have caregivers that take care of the cats. Now if the momma becomes friendly while in their care, she will then most likely be keep and put up for adoption. Hope this helps some.

I'm just very sad because I know how much the Cat Mom love her kittens and she gives EVERYTHING for feed them and loving them. And then mostly the Humans just decided that mostly Mom will be separated forever from her babies because it's feral!!! And the Humans not can imagine how MANY Cat Mom's after them searching desperately they kittens!!! They crying at NIGHT!!!! SOMETIMES HUMANS BELIEVE THAT THEY DECISIONS ARE GOOD AND AT END ITS NOT!!! JUST IMAGINE IF THIS WILL BE DONE WITH HOMELESS MOTHER'S AND THEY WILL TAKEN HER BABIES BECAUSE ITS GOOD FOR BABY??? AND THE MOTHER NOT HAVE FEELINGS???? WHEN MYSELF RESCUING MOTHER WITH KITTENS I HAVE THEM IN A ROOM TOGETHER, AND TRYING SOCIALIZE THE CAT MOM....BUT SO LONG ITS TOGETHER WITH HER KITTENS!!!!

So glad you got mama. My babies were separated from their mama too early and now they have severe attachment issues. Got them as newborns and I still see signs a year later.

exactly what happened to my cat. he was rescued 10 years ago at app. 5-6 weeks old when he was rejected by his mom. he got incredibly attached to me and my husband with severe attachment issues (eg. he'd get sick when either me or my husband are out of town for work). 10 years later, he's still our biggest and most spoiled baby

The kittens may learn and get homes but the mother will most likely be released back onto the streets in programs like this. The mother gets spayed (so there's no more stray kittens), gets her shots, gets a check up, raises the kittens, and is released back to her colony of cats where she has been living her whole life away from humans.

Do NOT take them to a "shelter" or Hellter...they are high kill in that area
