Cats supposedly purr at 29Hz. That frequency is supposed to have healing properties. I hereby volunteer to participate in a multi decade study into the health benefits of having a purring cat sitting on your chest for 5-6 hours a day.

redouan zoufri I’m a 12-time successful kitten foster veteran myself. A litter of four my sophomore year in college I found in the bushes next to the computer lab next to my dorm, a lonely little solo kitten I found crying on the lumber pile during a nasty storm one day at my home/workplace, a surprise litter of six that was born in my late husband’s old truck (he forgot to roll the windows up)--found them wandering about the yard a couple of weeks later one night, clearly something had happened to their mom, they were hungry and lonely--and a one-year-old that was found by my husband’s ex after he was dumped at her church. The moment Buddy wasn’t a “kitten” anymore, they got rid of him! That burned both of us up.
