A friend did that in the 80's. It didn't go well. Though he did get the story that the cops kept asking him how fast he was going and he kept replying "I don't know, I was asleep!"
Well good thing the autopilot is doing its job better job than 99% of the drivers... Maybe Tessla should add the head tap to the AI as well?
Need to make this shit illegal.

It is, the only level 3 driving system on the market is legal in two states now, and only on select highways...at under 35MPH. They still monitor for eyes to be open and on the road. Tesla's monitor eyes now, and require hands on the wheel. Back when this police incident happened, they only monitored hands on the wheel. Legally, drivers are 100% responsible for their vehicle when full self driving is driving their cars. Doing an 8K mile road trip starting next week and can't wait to let my car do all the driving for me while I monitor and listen to podcasts!
