Open Pilot fitted into a KITT replica would be hilarious to see... :):)
I’m now 47 but the music instantly tipped me back to being an eight-year-old little boy sitting down in front of my 19 inch television and just thinking back on one amazing decade of the 80s how I do miss that time.

Here is one Knight Rider-fan from Finland. Thank you both, for share all these childhood memories.
Just when I think this channel can't get any better, you turbo boost to a whole other level. Amazing!
I can't wait for the day when this can be done with the FLAG Semi!
40 Years on and KITT is *still* the most Futuristic Car on the Road!
This is so cool! I wish i could do a road trip like this!!

Can we take a moment to salute Dave's fashion in the early seasons. Flannel shirts , tight jeans up to the ears , cowboy boots. Giant western belt buckle. Panelled Sports jackets. BIG shades. It's all there and it needs to come back :)

@@BrianKitching-wv5nh I liked the shiny puffy, blouson one he wore in some of Season 3 that they did an official replica of for a while . The more sharp, angular thinner one was also cool but I preferred the Blouson one.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge watching from South Africa
Quite honestly, not of the VERY BEST videos I have seen on this channel. Just watched it almost non-stop right thru, with such vivid memories of the show. I do hope Greg and his partner do another - tho appreciate it must have taken them a long time to do it. I adore filming locations. Did one around London (walking and by Tube), and it was exhausting. That wasn't 65 locations. So stellar work. Thanks for the hard work. Thanks for sharing. From the UK - KITT signing orrfffff...... :)
Literally was watching Chariots of Gold two days ago. One of my favourite episodes and very well directed. So much happens in that episode
Probably this is one of the coolest video about Knight Rider in all KZread. And one more thing; Comparing with all the newer cars we see in the video; Kitt is still a very beautiful car. And the replica in the video is a real good one with a nice stock engine sound.👍🏼
Thanks Greg (and wife!) for doing this! Lots of driving but so cool that you visited these with KITT. I’m sure it was a lot of planning just to hit locations geographically. Awesome shot driving across White Bridge.
Paradice Cove is also where Jim Rockford lived in his trailor on Rockford Files.

Yes it is.They also filmed Baywatch and Baywatch Nights there.

One of the most recognizable shooting locations of the 80's and 90's for movies + TV shows. The whole "LA river" , Sepulveda... As iconic as the HOLLYWOOD sign imo.
11:18 It's a pretty cool truck to be fair!
loved the voice of KITT wish I could tell the actor thank you
That was cool to watch. Thank you for this.

I like how your car is far better built that the ones in the show
thank you, i cannot say other thing. very emotional!!
1:09:54 - I know that Knight of the Drones was filmed in the Northern California Bay Area, & KITT was being chased by newer 1983-1984 Ford Thunderbirds. I am sure KITT was nervious having a Red Thunderbird behind him, & was probably zeroing in on his exaust system.😁 Hello From Phoenix Arizona 🌡 🔥
Wow, that's a lot of traveling around. Very cool. 👍
The long apron side of the dam is also the location of the Buckaroo Banzai end credits walk as well as where Clarkson, Hammster and Captain Slow drew a gentleman's sausage with burnouts on one of the Top Gear trips to the States.
Nice one guys. Great job Greg. Really enjoyed this. Very brave of you to visit the Helios Foundation alone....
I live in Covina CA. Right behind the bank building in silent night. I used to go to tne drive in from nineteenth hole all the time. It was called manneys el loco
There is a signed picture of David Hasselhoff on the wall inside the 3 shells at Paradise Cove from when it was filmed

Wow, absolutely awesome Knight Rider filming location tour! :) Knightmares was indeed very memorable episode and Sepulveda dam in the episode was, and still is, very impressive looking place. Endless Summer in KITT vs KARR still being Endless Summer, like in the episode is also amazing and really cool :) Very enjoyable video, thanks!
it is so cool that i got to watch these from the other end of the world, so much travelling have been done to make this possible.
You guys sure get around from down under to Tennessee and now California, I saw the video on kiwi’s customs when you were at Tennessee. Great video.
Great video!!
I'm so shocked they didn't go to Moreno Valley and go to the mall that used to be the Riverside International Raceway used in Knight Racer and Give me Liberty or Give Me Death
Great Video, thank you so much! Greetings from Austria ❤

Whoever is staying in Bonnie's apartment has no idea how lucky they are. However, the housing complex seen in the episode might have been used for exterior establishing shoots only. It is possible that the apartment interior scenes were filmed at another location.
Hi Joe and guest and his Lady friend and KITT AND KARR nice video 📹 and workmanship
Loved it! I always enjoy the then and now filming locations! Very interesting. Also amazing how many locations have not changed at all or very little in 40 years. Thank you for sharing this!
I would have liked to see more inserts from the episodes. Where Kitt got rebuilt, was it Towsley Hall or the tram garage at Universal Studios? A couple of inserts would help us. Thanks it was great fun.

Perifractic (Retro Recipes) did a great video on this a few months ago. It’s called “Finally Found?: Knight Rider’s Ultimate KITT Filming Locations”.
Thanks for sharing. 40+ years... Time flies. It's quite wild that most buildings are still existing when you think about it. That FLAG property looks indeed wonderful. Of course, my eyes in the end will always be attracted back to that beautiful glossy black car that loves to steal the show. 😈
当時日本でも大人気でした。自動車が主役のドラマは珍しくとても面白かったのを覚えています🙂 80年代は21世紀の未来の車にワクワクしましたが、今は80年代の車にワクワクしますね😆
At the 20:43 mark. I think that's the same building that was used in the movie Dragnet staring Tom Hanks and Dan Aykroyd. Also at the 31:33 mark is the filming location of The Rockford Files another Universal Studios tv show. The episode that means a lot to me is the one about the Hover Craft. They filmed a bunch of it where my Late Dad and I worked in Long Beach, CA. The address is 1925 Pier D street. The company is in business all of these years later. It's name is Connolly-Pacific. It's on the eastern side of the new Gerald Desmond Bridge.
That tunnel is in Calabassas,it was in an episode of Baywatch were Mitch and a school bus full of kids were trapped in the tunnel when a big earthquake hit.

Shocking how many places did not change in 40 years!
Definitely a road trip for fans 😊❤! Is the DCC museum nearby too?
Congratulations very well done the filming eyes a little fast but pause, come back and watch again nostalgic thanks
51:19 I was very surprised to hear the german dub voice from Kitt 🙂
I love Knight Rider ❤ I remember more scenes
I keep waiting for KITT to drive by me but I would absolutely freak out if I saw him parked or driving by! ❤❤
Awesome thank you for sharing
Wow Joe I was on my way to Malibu for delivery for work I passed them up through Malibu tunnel.i was like kitt just past me. What a coincidence I didn't know they were doing a filming locations documentary👍
This brings back memories ❤
Many thanks for this amazing journey through KR locations. Isn´t is great that some places still look "original"?
8:07 I believe this was also the location of the episodes with the gold Ferrari and when the semi was stolen
The silhouette at 2:14 looks like Michael 😂
Thank you so much for sharing and making the effort in making this video. well done much apprecated to see these locations now. David Fazakeriey England
Thanks for this video 😃
Very nice,a tip of the cap.
Great work :)
They did this summer 2024? Yesterday was the first day of summer. 🤔
@KnightRiderHistoriansOfficial I assume the military base is Fort MacArthur but what street is the tunnel on??
The photo you show at 16:40 is not from the Compound location at 26800 Mulholland Highway. It´s from 184 South Hudson Ave in Los Angeles.
6:02 bay 1 & 2 for Knight of the Fast Lane
Great video, but he totally missed out on the Kenneth Road Village in Glendale from Ring of Fire Season 2. He went to the 'Callan' house on Kenneth Road, but didn't go to Kenneth Road Village which was a few blocks down the same street for the town of 'Callan' where they had the shoot out and the spin out stunt with KITT. I grew up in Glendale and lived a few miles away and remember them filming, but I was only 13 years old at the time.
the short notice police station filming location was also used as a location in the classic movie called Drive starring Ryan Gosselin and Carey Mulligan and other's...looks like it but I may not be correct on things...
What a great idea!!! I love to see KITT back. Could you get David Hasselhoff for a few shots for another Video?! It’s a pity Knight Rider never made it to the big screen…greetings from Germany.
21:20 KITT is passed by one of the cars inspired by him. 😎
at 22:44 - that's Chucks cafe from the movie Duel also.
This is awesome!
59 time, holy shit, really a crown vic cop car..? Thought there's only those all time broken suv garpage in use. Some nice to see that one.
There is another entrance to the dinner Saugus speedway they use it as a Swap Meet, I've been there many times before and an episode of the Dukes of Hazzard was filmed there as well.
Brilliant… Just Brilliant 👏
5:03 isn't that where Christian Simpson aka Perifractic or Retro Recipes filmed his search for the Knight Rider location?
I'm pretty sure that in s3 EP 11 Knight of the chameleon - military store the scene where the car is that tunnel was also part of MacGyver's shoot where he was removing a political prisoner who was actually an arms dealer.
Where can I buy the awesome AF soundtrack at the beginning?

Air Force? 😑 All these kids today using af for things and don’t even need it.
I am 40 this year so only seen the eps a few years after they were realeased. Excellent video very interesting. That Canyon Tunnel was it also used in the movie Duel & Back to the Future part 2??
That replica is very nice
e sempre bom poder rever Kitt tenho muita saudade do carro falante ❤❤
Towsley Hall in College of the Cannyons where Junkyard Dog was filmed was found by Christian Simpson also known as Perifractic of Retro Recipies.Check out his video its called Finally Found:Knight Rider Filming Locations, love Greg's KITT car.
you should have kitt-stickers to mark these places!
Tunnel reminds me of a tunnel in a episode in Baywatch when they got a earthquake and a bus of young people get stuck in tunnel but its many tunnels in SoCal
Also that dam was featured on S4 Episode of Redemption of a Champion where Spider-Man, played by Ken Foree, got shot and killed there.
Looking forward to seeing "Goliath" filming locations soon.
you should have taken professional photo's of the car in all locations. would have been a great photo book or cards.
This tunnel was also in V. Mike Donovan flew a fighter through it.
A little bit of a sinister fact is the location used for the Helios Estate is next door to the LaBianca House
Man, you're sure got some U-Haul Nuggets throughout the segment.
58:46,59:04 Ah okay, I was about to say "Oh, why did he drive to this location in a police car? Where's KITT?"🤣
To The Knight Rider Historians, You've forgot to included S3 Episode of Knights in the Fastlane when you had mentioned about The Sargus Speedway. That episode was also filmed there. Sadly, this is the last month that the racetrack is going to be opened. I do have a question about that college campus, that little building that is sitting on the hill next to the stairways, now I know that the pilot episode of The Incredible Hulk was also filmed there as well, but is that the same building where David Banner famously warned Mr. McGhee "Don't make me Angry" line?
I don't understand why you put big exhaust on this car.. 🙂 Nice video anyway.. ty
Take away? Someone's from G.B. Damnit now I'm hungry for a chicken burger. 🤣
the alleyway is not only a Knight Rider filming location but a Charlie Chaplin filming location as well. the area was used in multiple silent shorts from different silent actors from Chaplin to Keaton to Lloid and quite a number of others the factory windows are visible in Chaplin's 1921 The Kid at the early part of the movie most of this movie was filmed on a film set the area and surrounding part of the city was used for filming from about 1910 most of those movies are lost now. If Charles Chaplin had lived long enough to see Knight Rider on TV he would have been 97 at the time of the show's cancelation.
From the video screenshot at the top of the tunnel: "Linda, I'm glad you said YES! Love Rex. SEPT 10, 1983" Obviously a marriage proposal, so Linda would see it while driving through the tunnel. Be curious to know how things went for Rex and Linda and if it all worked out for them. lol
At 28:11 are you sure that's the right address? The inserted photo from the show it's on Lankershim, I can't read the cross street. The church on the video here is on Magnolia and Catalina. Plus it's totally different unless it's had a major remodel.
GUTES VIDEO GRUSS AN DICH 🇺🇲🗽🏆🍀👍
Is that the same tunnel from the movie "Duel"?. It looks alot like it
I sure miss watching the night rider and $1.33 gasoline
