That 3 cylinder Viking motor install looks so so good and sounds exceptionable for a modern install. I was hoping to see the turbo motor go in. I have worked with the turbo motors before and the amount of torque increase goes beyond the HP numbers. Great work Viking...

Oh Eric, I'm so sorry. I've been out of the loop for a couple of years. This is over a year old and I've only just seen it. I too am building a kit plane - similar to the kitfox but slightly bigger. It's a KFA Safari. I've been looking at these Viking engines - but I'm in the UK so getting support here maybe difficult. 18 months on now, can't wait to see how you are finding it. Hope you're well buddy.

Nice looking engine, i do rebuild aircraft engine here in Africa too. Have been working on vw since its common around here but hope with time to up grade to vking.

Eric and Alex, that must have been such a magical process, finally have the engine mounted and working. I can't wait to see what the cowling is going to look like.

Are you shooting raw? How are you getting those welding shots without totally blowing out the exposure on the rest of the frame?

Lot's of force transfer with that big gusset on the lower longerons, you already had a truss, now you have a sheeted truss in effect.

Do Not use a Rubber K&N Air filter directly on turbo. Ive ssen them sucked into the turbines on the race track.

I compliment your choice of the Explorer II with Polar dial 😏

Went with non-turbo 90 hp. What changed your mind with a turbocharged setup? Cost involved sure. Do like the 3 cylinder 90 horsepower and sounds great. Will keep watching the build.

I like the honda Viking engine boy there are lot of guys out there talk about how he took money from people for the Subaru conversions never shipped the engines. When legal action was taken he filed bankruptcy never refunded anyone.

Damn, that intro music is way, way too loud! A bit of audio compression to balance the entire video and watching output levels goes a long way... And stops my neighbor from banging on the walls!

1:05, those gussets have holes on the outer edge, not very good workmanship and renders the outer edge a bit pointless.

Top notch Viking garbage!! Do your research on the crap he’s selling you!!! Could have gotten a 100hp for a lot less money.
