This was dope. I love when Bboys have some musicality (outside of power moves) and can grove too. I'm a big fan of Neguin.

To see two of the greatest in their respective styles dance to MJ... Something about that just moves me. So glad I'm alive to witness this

auguste nganta yes of course, in term of musicality, popping is more suitable and easier to achieve, but the style is also more subtle and detailed, comparing with breaking, it’s not that crowd pleasing unless you’re into dance community for some time or you’re into popping and know how to appreciate it. For crowd choosing, breakdance is easier to catch their attention with its incredible explosive moves. But still, high respect to both high level dancers no matter what.

@auguste nganta Breaking is much more eye catching. The average viewer can't even comprehend the subtle control that Kite is exhibiting, and the tech is too hard for them to follow. Popping has certain moves that will wow a large novice audience, but pretty much anything a breaker does with flips or spins will get a reaction out of any crowd.

@@ninjaninja9954 popping may seems easier bcuz its still dancing using your leg not like breaking , but actually the difficulty level is quite similar to bboy or even harder , try study other alien level poppers like gucchon,hoan,slim boogie,hozin,mt pop , kite ,greenteck , dokyun ,acky , etc and you'll know what i mean, FYI kite started as bboy and was known for his footwork in bboy scene back then just like how hes known in poppin

NEGUIN was more on point than other dude. His locks were epic and his flair and imagination was next level

Neguin é muito bom, por algum motivo faz parte daquele grupo da red bull bc one que vai dançando em varios paises, mas ele nao é o melhor, e calhar nem top 5 é. Tem la monte de bboys bons e sem duvida o mais completo é o hong 10. (Que por acaso voltou a ganhar este ano)

Not really, he had too many dead moments. In the first round while doing MJ moves he was going on for too long, especially when the crowd wasn't really feeling it much. Then in the second round he wasn't catching the right beat at the start. You can catch a part of the beat, but still be off musically since certain parts of the song should be reacted towards to really impress and entertain. Like at 2:25 he started killing it, but prior to that he just wasn't catching the beat right even if he was on beat.

@@jureantriabdi4591 it does take skill, but neguin spent more of his round flipping than doing actual toprock or floorwork. if u want a bboy thats actually well-rounded look at people like issei victor or phil wizard. plus there werent any judges, the crowd was the judge

Kite took this pretty easily. Judges are on something. Burns, call-outs, flow, all way better on Kite's side. Neguin had plenty of blowup but the 2nd round was just weak.

Did you not watch till the end? I’ve actually been to these events and there are NO judges. The crowd judges. There’s a blue and red side and whichever color they see lit the most on each individuals wristband from the crowd, wins. It’s a fun and dope concept that redbull does for this event.

Neguin is one of the best all around dancers in the world...u really cant judge 2 different styles of dancing in my eyes. Dope battle tho...✌

@Griffiith Every dance style was allowed in this battle. There were no real judges only the crowd decides who wins. I don't really know what you're trying to say here but from the point of general hip hop dancing Neguin just lost he only won because he did some flips at end. The battle was close before though. Flips are part of his breakstyle but he could have done something else (we know he can but he didn't) but he was only repeating a move where the crowd just goes 'wow he did a flip'. No hate against Neguin but he could have done better to atleast earn the win convincingly.

The difference is… With a breaker, you can always get hold of a high or Olympic levels gymnast and it’s game over for them. With a popper… you have to be truly gifted and actually know how to dance.

Neguin is just so technical in his powermove execution and seamlessly blending it and transitioning between style and power. It's never a boring battle with him. These popping and locking vs breaking matchups are always going to get the styleheads and powerheads in heated debate but I've never understood that. What makes Neguin special is although he's power centric, his style is a perfect balance of both.
