I invisioned sage green cabinets and when you painted them sage green I almost screamed. I LOVE the outcome, its so bright and cozy with that amazing cottage feel.

Wow that's fabulous transformation.... everywhere looks clean and fresh...maybe only if it was me...I would change the spot wallpaper out on the back. And I would add something soft green... colour with a leaf...?? Ice bath...you are so brave... just the thought of it made me shiver....❄️🛀😰. But you are used to it I suppose it's good for you... with the white walls you can add color with decor, pretty towels plates, nic-nacks. that way the color can be changed. to me the white looks clean and it sparkles...like the snow....

@@Mariaandtheforest one thing I absolutely need to do here is clean up the colors as you did with the kitchen. We changed all the doors and they all have this thick ugly dark red around the border, then the clean unvarnished doors, then the walls are light yellow, and there are white tiles in the kitchen walls… it is a mess and too much going on as you say 🤣🤣🤣 I just had not figured the problem out till I watched this video! Ahaha so yeah… 😆☺️

@@Mariaandtheforest I forgot to mention the floors are peach, the kitchen cabinets are dark brown, with a pink top, and the table has a marble top with medium brown. The chairs are cream. …… I need to buy a lottery ticket and pray I can win and send you guys round trip tickets so we can hire you to do the remodeling ahahahaha 😆😆😆 But seriously, I have clarified so many things in my mind now! The colors is just the start! You must continue with these videos whenever you remodel! They really activate the clinical eye for finding a harmonious resolution to a clashing disaster in the home hahahaha

Maria, your pronunciation of cupboard is perfect ! Your kitchen makeover skills are really good too, and your home is looking lovely now. The bench in front of the kitchen window is a really good idea, and was a creative solution. You are inspiring me to maybe tackle my own kitchen later this year....but there again I said that this time last year as well ! You're making me think about it though. It was nice to catch a glimpse of some of your dance moves too. Keep up your great work.

Good job. It looks so lovely and bright now. The idea for the bench/table in the kitchen was brilliant. Can I just suggest the backsplash behind the sink doesn't really fit in since you have done so much work. Maybe either a washable sticky contact paper or even a few sheets of stick on tiles would really finish it off nicely and cost very little. I really enjoyed the style of the video- refreshing after so many same same ones on the channel.

Good observation there! Its a shelf in the wall, that leads to the living room. It would be very cool to have a window or something there! But I think its not happening since we are renting.

Thank you so much, really glad you like them! It's a normal water based paint for now. But in the future when I have my own house I hope to use linseed paint. Better for the environment and better for the indoor air. It's just a bit more expensive and I have to order it online I think, so in this rental I decided not to.

It turned very nice what's the name of the paint that you used on the Cupboards and what color is exactly can you give us the code number

12:08 is that called anything? I've seen a few other Scandinavian KZreadrs eat that before. Where I come from we usually cook our oats so I'm wondering if this has a name.

haha, yes I guess it might be a strange thing we do here, to eat the oats with just milk and sugar without cooking them. We do both though. When its not cooked It's just called havregryn med melk, which means oats with milk. When we cook them we call it "grøt" = porridge.

I just found your channel! Your fun and I feel like we have the same minds haahaa(start where we should finish cuz we’re excited but as I’m getting older I hate getting tired and back tracking 😑) As far as the wood being warped you can do chinking. That’s what little pieces of wood is called “chinks” . We built our house by ourselves and learned a lot! Use a small piece of wood usually scrap pieces and use as many as you need to make it level out the wood that’s not level to the others :)
