Can't comprehend why this song (one of their best, if not the best KISS-song) is no longer a staple in their tour setlists!

Kiss have the worst setlist compared to other legacy headlining acts. Even the Stones who do their hits for the radio fans will bust out a deep cut and they change their setlist. Kiss do the same boring setlist for freaking years! Only when they do a kruise do they do a deep cut

Yes! It's nice to hear the bass part so clearly. This shows how well constructed this song is.

I love the way Gene interacts with the crowd... that little smile he gets on his face during the second verse makes it look like he's really enjoying himself.

Gene's bass is not loud, it's the recording which fucked it up.

I know it's the recording that makes gene's bass sound loud but it sounds like its tuned down a whole step. Does anyone agree?

The whole band might be tuned down a half step to make the vocals easier. I know most older bands do that but I'm not sure about KISS.

Yep, they are in tuned down whole step. I think they did it in 2009

I'm pretty sure they tuned down to D Standard (from Eb/D# Standard) following the release of 'Monster'.

Franky Zee - Kiss have always tuned-down since the very beginning. A lot of bands have done this to sound “heavier”.

Lasvegasman people don’t give him enough credit for playing those bass lines perfectly and with style. Slap bass doesn’t always mean you’re the best.
