It’s because 75-80% of what you’re hearing is prerecorded. If you watch closely you’ll notice places where the noise doesn’t match what you’re seeing. They’re very clever about mixing it in but it’s not that hard to see once you realize what they’re doing.

Saw them at the Hollywood Bowl last week. They were completely incredible. No one does it like KISS! What a ride and privilege it is to get to experience them still! On that note: floor seats are wasted on people who have zero energy. So frustrating seeing such a few amount of people engaging with the music’s energy. The “cheap seats” are doing all the heavy lifting.

For all the times we've heard Gene boast about this tour or that tour being "their biggest show ever," this time they back it up. Having seen KISS since the "Hotter Than Hell" tour (anybody else here at the Aragon Ballroom in Chicago early '75?), I can attest that, from a technical/stagecraft POV, this is, absolutely, the biggest spectacle KISS have ever presented. To their credit, they've continually tweaked the show. Of course, the set pieces are always there (although they finally retired "Firehouse" as the soundtrack to Gene's fire breathing,) but they've made appreciable efforts to layer in new elements to the stage production. If you compare over the years, you'll see the differences. KISS have come in for (justified) criticism for the use of pre-recorded tracks in concert. None of that was apparent this night in Cincinnati. This was raw KISS, warts and all, and I'll take that any day. And, predictably, KISS get sh!t about their age. To those armchair quarterbacks, I challenge: YOU put on a 2-hour show like this - at any age! (And, while you're at it, also show me your wall full of Gold & Platinum albums.) KISS is a singular rock 'n' roll inspiration. They invented the rock stars they wanted to be, they worked their asses off, and they deserve every bit of success they've had. Cincinnati got their money's worth this night!

Good bless them, one and all, past & present members!! I’ve seen them approximately 15 times since ‘83. Best gig they gave was 2010 Sonic Boom tour; it was a hotass day in Indiana at the state fair! (Well before the tragedy which occurred years later.) It was Hotter Than Hell that night. But it was a perfect night for a KISS gig!! Took my then-10year old son with me; it was his first concert. Great memory. I see some comments about how boring the audience is... and that happens not only in Cincinnat but all over the world and with all the bands! Since cell phone recordings appeared the energy at concerts has run out; There is no longer feedback between the group and the public, and the atmosphere is dull. Fortunately i had opportunity to see KISS in Mexico city in th 90s and the Sport Palace was a madhouse... it was a madness! A world of difference.

Could you imagine if there was a show that had KISS then Michael Jackson. I mean the energy would be threw the roof. Michael Jackson and KISS are the greatest entertainers to ever do it. Can’t wait to see KISS in Knoxville. My brother was supposed to go but he passed this January. RIP. I really hope they play God Gave Rock N Roll To You. My brother and I loved that song as kids. And I’m only gonna take a couple pics and that’s it. I wanna be in the moment. Too many watching on a phone screen.

Regarding the person with the lack of energy comment, I can only hope I have this kind of energy 10 years from now. There’s no way I could perform like that now at 59, so can’t imagine doing it after I’m 70.

For the many curmudgeons. KISS performs almost every day. Although it is much more difficult to play than it is possible to succeed. It's a wonder they've been able to handle it this way for so many years. The audience is always different, but the performance is the same. It's not boring for you, but it is for them. That's why we love all bands...
