Vinnie was great. He and Eric injected so much new vibe into the band. And as history tells Paul couldn't stand how good Vinnie was.

False, history shows how difficult Vinnie was to work with and be in a band with. His own band quit on him, and he has released virtually nothing since. Speaks volumes. Talented but too much trouble to keep around.

@@masterofvillainy8404 exactly, I've listened to enough Carmine interviews to know that Vinnie screwed him over more than once, including screwing over the heavyset promotor guy who was putting together his comeback

Steve has said in an intervener recently that G&P were actually so impressed with his lead guitar that they offered him the lead guitarist spot, but it fell through because he couldn’t sing.
