I thought the king dedede amiibo,the metaknight amiibo and the Qbby amiibo can unlock them as playable characters

Locking an ability behind an Amiibo felt silly to me, and just felt like a way of extracting money. I think I prefer it when they do this.

Totally Clownpiece they didn’t lock it. You can just use an amiibo to get an ability whenever and wherever you want. I never said unlock it

I'm almost certain that there's no way to get either the UFO or Smash abilities outside of Amiibo. You MIGHT be able to get Smash in the ability room that's unlocked by getting every code cube or similar, but still. Besides, where's the fun in getting stuff for free? Star Allies is easy enough as it is.

Not gonna lie, I preferred Robobot’s Amiibo functionality, and even that was pretty uninteresting.

Yes, and forgotten land does the same thing, (a healing item and some coins) but in the newest Kirby game, (return to dreamland deluxe) it does give you a copy ability? And a new one?

I was hoping for something better, like getting the dream friend, playing as the dream friend, getting free levels in guest star mode, costumes, or heck, even just a once a day invincibility candy would’ve been nice.

I wish they had the return of Smash Bros. Kirby.

There was so much potential for Amiibo content in this game and they did none of it

Well thats useless... Do something cool like change kirby's skin to meta knight or be able to play as dream characters in story mode (Yes I know you can do that but the actual story mode.)

Can you use these amiibos multiple times?

Do you think the smash Bros Kirby Amiibo would give him the smash bro’s power from Kirby Robobot.

Kinda glad actually (might sound weird) sure you don't get much but at least it isn't like paying money for playable characters.

Nice to see that they don't do anything game-breaking or lock access to anything particularly large. It would be heartrending to see Psycho Jester (or, sorry, Marx) getting locked behind an Amiibo.
