Kirby’s Dream Land had always been a place of joy and adventure. But one night, a chilling fog descended upon the land, bringing with it a strange, eerie silence. Kirby woke up to find Dream Land eerily deserted. The usual vibrant colors were muted, replaced by shades of gray. Determined to find his friends, Kirby set off, the only sound his soft footsteps on the now barren ground. As he wandered, he noticed something peculiar: the enemies he encountered did not fight back. They simply stood there, lifeless, their eyes devoid of any spark. He inhaled one of them, hoping to gain a new ability, but nothing happened. Puzzled, Kirby continued, a sense of unease growing within him. Reaching Green Greens, Kirby found King Dedede’s castle eerily silent. Inside, the halls were dark, lit only by the flickering light of torches. Kirby called out for Dedede, but his voice echoed back, unanswered. In the throne room, Kirby found Dedede, sitting motionless on his throne. Approaching cautiously, Kirby saw the King’s face twisted in a frozen scream of horror. But that wasn't the most disturbing part. Kirby’s reflection in Dedede’s scepter was… wrong. His usually cheerful face was missing. Where his eyes, mouth, and rosy cheeks should have been, there was only a smooth, featureless surface. Panicking, Kirby ran out of the castle. The landscape around him warped and twisted, the once familiar surroundings now a nightmarish maze. The more he ran, the more distorted his world became, until he found himself in a dark, endless void. There, in the darkness, he saw them. His friends-Meta Knight, Waddle Dee, and even the usually antagonistic enemies-stood in a circle, facing him. Each one was faceless, just like him. They moved towards Kirby, their movements slow and unnatural, as if controlled by some unseen force. Kirby tried to scream, but without a mouth, no sound emerged. The faceless figures closed in, their presence suffocating. Just as they were about to reach him, the void swallowed Kirby whole, plunging him into darkness. When Kirby awoke, he was back in Dream Land. The colors were vibrant again, and the usual sounds of life had returned. He looked at a nearby pond, hesitantly checking his reflection. His face was back to normal. Relieved but still shaken, Kirby set off to find his friends. But as he explored, he noticed something chilling. Whenever he wasn’t looking directly at them, the inhabitants of Dream Land would momentarily lose their faces, reverting to that smooth, blank state. And sometimes, in the dead of night, Kirby could hear whispers-whispers that spoke of a curse, a curse that would one day claim all of Dream Land, leaving them all faceless and trapped in eternal silence. From that day on, Kirby could never shake the feeling that he was being watched by unseen eyes, waiting for the moment when the curse would finally consume him. And every now and then, when he looked into a mirror, he would catch a fleeting glimpse of his faceless reflection, a haunting reminder of the nightmare that was far from over.
