Don't worry, this won't be the end of max stats runs on stream (read below!). I have been enjoying the wonderful people who have been inspired to try this challenge themselves on Twitch. It's truly something to be able to spread such a fun challenge like this one. Keep at it friends!! With this run coming well before anticipated, and with my favorite color kirby getting a maxout, I decided to try to max out once with every kirby color. As of this upload, I have completed blue, purple, brown and white. Pink, yellow, red and green remain! :D

This run was like the first drop on a roller coaster, except it never ever evens out and it’s just the best part of the ride the entire time

I do like how at extremely high overall stats, basically only the Compact and Swerve Stars are even usable.

unfortunately not enough of a world record "history" for this :( normal tempo maxouts are so hard that we don't even know of any videos besides the three submitted times (www.speedrun.com/kar#Max_Stats and switch to normal tempo). I postulate that because of its difficulty, anyone who did try to max out on normal tempo would've recorded it because of how hard it is to do. Slow tempo, on the other hand, might have some buried videos on youtube somewhere-maybe a good enough video with both tempos? Lol

8:06 - that fly power up spawning on the left side of the screen, over the city ruins.... Heart breaking hahah It could be 12 seconds faster! Apart from that , this is probably my favorite run of Max Stats. Always come back here from time to time to rewatch it. I love Kirby Air Ride and your videos playing this game!

Interesting to see how good the starter ride can be. Played this game growing up, always left it as soon as possible and was only interested in collecting boosts that made my fly better 😂

There's a handful of vehicles I think are worse and would basically never leave the compact star for, without an event prediction/knowledge to change my mind. Even then I can't think of a single occasion for the Formula Star

When I was a kid, me and my brother would play this religiously, and this is the FIRST time I've seen an ALL stat boost come from a blue box.

Have to set your stadium to Vs. King DDD, or have it be selected via the shuffle feature for that city. Then it's included in the item pool

The City Trial mode starts all vehicles with -2 of every stat inherently, but you can't have -2 HP. So visually everything else caps at 18 due to starting at -2 and being corrected to 0 on the stat display while maxing out at a value of +16, like HP

Crazy stuff for sure. Makes for an insane record . Isn't this your second time where the vault opened with All's?

This is SO COOL. I'm curious what "top speed city" means; are there rounds where some patch types show up more than others? I've always been interested in the inner workings of City Trial & its item spawning quirks.

Top speed cities are just what I call happenstance RNG with way too much top speed and little of the other stats-there are a few stadiums that sway the weighted frequency of stat spawns (air glider/high jump = more glide, less offense+defense; destruction derby/Kirby melee = vice versa) and Vs. King DDD allows for alls to spawn outside of events, but that's the extent of it! The rest is just my musings lol

@@djphat94 have to have the stadium set to "vs King DDD" to get random all spawns outside of events. They're still very rare even then

18 defense and Dedede cuts you like Butter. Are we sure that there isn't an actual coded limit for the stats? Really doesn't feel like 18 does anything.

The compact star actually doesn’t get any benefit from the defense stat. If he were on any other machine it would make a big difference
