The desk scene was so intricate it was almost a how to guide and all you would need is some basic skills. Then after a few revisions you could get it very clean, I plan on trying it out.

Did you do it, i was trying to make it myself and i believe what he uses to ignite it is a spark plug, a small version of it, and the way it sets a fire is the thing you see under the death note is a bag of gasoline, if you did it id like to know the details if you dont mind ​@joelstatosky1817

In both the anime and manga light used to spark plug with a fuel injector Filled with gasoline That would ignite and cause a large flame to burst forth A Flash Flame destroying everything in its path While also destroying oh destroying its fuel source to continue.

Imma deadass do this to hide my weed. Just not the fire part.

This is really cool but there is a slight problem. The fire doesn’t spread fast enough to actually prevent anyone for grabbing the book. It took about 1 minute for the fire to actually spread to the book. The purpose of the fire is to destroy the evidence, however anyone can just quickly grab it while the fire is still attempting to spread. I think an explosion would do a better job if you were to actually use this to keep evidence hidden. A small explosion is enough to scare off trespassers and destroy to book just in case they don’t run. A fire based explosion is best so that one of the many sparks get on the book, leading it to actually burn at least halfway before the intruder can comprehend what happened. That’s just my take on it though! I love the fact that you took your time and made such a masterpiece!

In the way light imagines it in the anime, it’s a much bigger explosion. I’d imagine gasoline is tough because you wanna get a lean stoichiometric ratio to get that kaboom. More isn’t necessarily better

I came here after watching Death Note Searched Kiras Death Note Drawer Trap And This Video popped up.

only thing i would change is i would scatter smaller bags of gasolin around the book so they all catch fire and burn it from all sides. other than that, dope project!

@@ShivamSaini-sj8pd theres a hole under the drawer where he can put as pen in. The rubber insulator gets replaced with the pen, thus not setting the book on fire

Yes I typed in Light's drawer trick just to see if someone tried it. And you did. Thank you. Also, I bet the author didn't show how Light actually ignited the gasoline most probably cause the author didn't want people to replicate it totally or at least if they did he would be able to say I didn't explain it all the way through.

I have a question light what happens if someone takes it out in powercut

not enough fire. sould you an antistatic electronics PET bag for longterm storage of gasoline, get a bag large enough to cover the whole surface and fill with gasoline so when it ignites, a little bit of gasoline is over whole surface area. seal the bag with epoxy to avoid vapour leakage or somone will sniff out your desk project on entry. Best to use two lighters incase one fails + if both work then you'll have better distribution. the clip that interups the circuit should be U shape and thinner than the pen so the pen goes inbetween the stopper and being thinner ensures the stopper always slips back into place.
