Kioti CK2610 Brush hogging trails

testing my new 2021 Kioti CK2610 brush hogging trails. Testing motor power under load with AC on. Had no issues with lack of power or bogging engine.

Looking at this as well, concerns with transmission power, my property is along the water so steep incline, do you have large hills you need to climb ? transmission power is my only concern on the tractor, other than that i dont do alot of PTO work, mostly snowblowing/loader

@@danlevesque8592 the dealer told me if i went with by the 6’ brush hog with inclines it would be a bad idea. I just went the safe route with the 5’. My lot is relatively flat. The medium gear in that trans is pretty tough. You almost need to test it out to be sure ya know.

Ive been very happy with it so far. The cab is great. The two are pretty similar besides the treadle pedal vs dual pedals.

Is that tractor a SE model? I’ve been trying to get a 2610 SE with out a cab for 1 1/2 years now and I was told that they don’t make that model anymore with out a cab.

They definitely make that model. The 2610 is theyre best seller from what i was told by the dealer. Mine is the se model. Im not sure where your located but that larry stoveland dealer always has good inventory.

@@SpicerDesignsLLC I have texted them about a 2610SE with out a cab and I can’t seem to get a straight forward answer from them. I’m in south west Mississippi, where did you get your tractor and what was the price if you don’t mind me asking ?

I know you've mentioned it a few times the 2610 seems to have the power you need for your use. it sounds like from your pros and cons video you (like myself) know the John Deere 1 series well. I've had the 1026R for 700 hours and since new in 2012.... how do you rate the torque/ power of the kioti compared to the deere? my deere seems to handle the 60 inch PTO blower decently... however in high range on hills it seems to lack some power. I'm currently in the market and have a plan this week to look at both the 2610 and 3510. Any suggestions are welcome. (locally we are lucky to have Kubota, Kioti, and Massey Ferguson options. ). Thanks!

Hopefully i answered this in my other reply to your comment. Last thing ill say is it never hurts upgrade to the bigger motor. 2610 is there best seller from what i was told. Deciding factor for me was DEF and emissions on the 3510.

Ive never noticed any power issues. I also found out the 2610 is a detuned 35 hp for emissions. It supposedly can be tuned up to 35hp

Nice video. Just one comment that applies to so many guys making videos of this type. When you show yourself mowing a field, it doesn't show us anything useful when you speed up the motion to 2X normal speed. We like to see the actual mowing at normal speed to get any idea of the quality of cut at the speed you are going. After all, you are making the video to inform us and a fast speeded up video doesn't do that. But I love the quality and your narration.

I Understand. That was my first video i made. Theres definitely a learning curve to all this. Ill have other brush hogging videos and ill make sure to have more in real time speed. Problem is of i dont speed up some sections it will be an hour long and no one will watch. I appreciate the comment and i will continue to make adjustments.

@@SpicerDesignsLLC Also, cut out the music in addition to cutting out the fast speed. We want to see and HEAR how it actually handles that much load.

hello, do you mind the cab? or is it a pain now to jump in and out. What about the glass breaking - any issues? Are you doing forstry work?

  • @SpicerDesignsLLC

I dont mind the cab. Its definitely not as quick to jump in and out. But its really bot bad. My land is pretty open, so no forestry work. We have cold winters and a lot of wind in the summer so the cab works great for me. No issues with glass breaking. Probably wouldnt be ideal for a wooded lot. Thanks for the comment
