To me this movie sounds like Kick Ass 2, where the satyrical edge of the first one is lost, and just becomes a dumber version of what it was satirizing in the first place.

I bet that happens a lot. It’s difficult to make good sequels of satirical movies and it’s not even a new problem, the Austin powers movies are a perfect parallel to kingsmen, all they had to do was something like that, the 2nd and 3rd movies weren’t great, but they were watchable.

Actually Ralph, Kingsman: The Golden Compass is a very intellectual movie for intellectuals such as myself. For instance, when the robot dogs are attacking Colin Firth and Elton John joins in because the dogs can't attack him, it symbolizes the fact that we blind ourselves from those more famous than us committing violence. Also, when Eggman puts the thing in the girl's thingy, he calls Princess Peach because he cares about their relationship, unlike you apparently. Also it's a message that if you do the weed, Julianne Moore will kill you and President Not Trump will be ok with it because you did the weed. Very important message for today's society. I give King's Quest 3: The Goblet of Fire 5 Mystery Diners out of 5.

Kingsman taught me that sometimes good people die. When Colin firth's character died I had every expectation for i'm to come back. and he didn't. That was the cold reality that faced me and i learned to deal with the consequences. The fact that they couldn't deal with Colin firth dying in the first one to the point where they had to bring him back is just so disappointing. I've never seen this new film, and I'm just going to pretend that it doesn't exist.

Yeah, same here. It's so childish, but boy oh boy do I *NOT* want to ruin my opinion on the first film. It kind of reminds me of what happened to Kickass (coincidentally directed by this films director too). The first was really good, in my opinion, but the second sucked so much cock it almost contaminated the first.

The proof is in the scene of the president (representing Donald Trump) telling his cronies to let the drug users die, and then the movie tells us that it’s okay to use drugs. Like FUCK YOU movie! And I HATE being one of those people who calls this movie offensive and SJW propaganda since drooling retards now use it towards the new Star Wars movies just because a girl is a lead. Zhaife That's even MORE stupid. How can you hear what somebody's saying through their bloodstream? Also, microscopic or not, she would feel it. Especially if it somehow gets into her bloodstream that way. If it's microscopic and travels through mucous membranes, why not implant it orally through kissing? The more you think about it, the worse it gets! But considering all they needed to track and listen in on people in the first film were sticky microphones and bugged top hats, this seems seriously unnecessary.

It's funny how people automatically assume those that criticise a sex scene do so because it's sex. One of my favourite movies is Sympathy For Mr.Vengeance and that has a sex scene in it where people communicate through sign language about how they kidnap and ransom a child. Inputting a microscopic tracking and bugging device through the vagina like there's not easier and way more effective ways to do it is what I'm mad at. Hell, if they had to use that device specifically, they could've figured out a way to get it into her nose, eye or mouth no problem (all having mucous membranes and more able to pick up somebody speaking). Way less time consuming. But nah. There's got to be some stupid drama with the princess girlfriend that shouldn't even be there because she was supposed to be just a one-time bum sesh and nothing more.

That is a fair grade. It's not an awful movie, I'm sure there are things everyone can enjoy, but it does not deserve to even be compared to the first. Killing off Roxy early in the movie was terrible. I can understand and respect when a movie goes for a surprise death to get a reaction from an audience, just look at Harry getting shot in the first film, but the way it was done just wasn't worth losing a good character. Eggsy being with the Princess was hot garbage, like Ralph said, he should have fucked around basically unless they were going to put him with Roxy. Poppy wasn't an awful villain, she just wasn't developed enough for us to either like or hate her. When you have Sam Jackson for the first film I don't really expect the second to have a better bad guy. The Statesman part didn't really bug me, I just felt that their involvement was smashed into the movie too sloppily. I was also okay with Harry's use in the movie. They really backed themselves into a corner with Harry getting shot in the first film so I can forgive them for trying to make a decent narrative for his return. Then there is Elton John... I admit that for me he had the funniest part of the movie when he said, "What have you done to me you fucking bitch"!? However they should have used him for just 1 or 2 scenes. His inclusion in so much of the film made it go from funny to cringe=worthy. I still hope they make a third film, but without some of the strong characters from the first and second film I can't see it turning out as a good film.

They were at least a bit less in your face about the parody. If you saw a Kingsman walking down the street, you'd see a dude in a classy suit and glasses holding an umbrella. They're a stereotype, yes, but they appear normal enough to the general British populous for it to be believable that they're an actually secret service. The Statesmen are just too blatant in their stereotypical gimmicks. I mean, there's a poster that implies that the whip is to a Statesman as an umbrella is to a Kingsman. Someone carrying a whip on their belt isn't exactly a normal sight, even in the American south. Hell, it'd be more normal if they just carried umbrellas like the Kingsmen.

I completely agree, saw it yesterday and all these points really dragged it down. It was rather boring I started noticing all the Apple product placement. All the good guys devices are Apple, apart from the watches, which are another companies, so when they stop the movie dead (again) to give Colin Firth a watch, not explain anything about the watch it was just why?

The point about the kingsman being normal people compared to southerners in statesmen is a bit off. Kingsman was full of people who had a league, out of all the accents in Britain they chose a certain type which portrayed the upper class. Which is partly why egsy was looked down upon.

It's really simple Ralph. I've narrowed down the entire sequel Formula: First movie: Satirical material that parodies it's source while dancing around the troupes by either overplaying it to the max or acknowledging it. profit Sequel: fully embracing the troupes and cliché because they missed the point of the original's success cause " if they liked it the first time around, Then they'll definitely love it even more if we double it".

As a big fan of the first movie, I put of watching the review until I had seen it myself and formed my own opinions. And I have to say I agree with everything you said Ralph. GOOD GOD was it bad! It fucked up *everything* the only thing I liked were some of the action shots, but yeah, the country music ruined that too. I just wanted to see more of the other Kingsman, maybe see what happened to his mom and sister, but nope the movie decides to kill off literally everyone interesting and replace them with coyboys. ugh. You know it's bad when the whole theater simultaniously groaned multiple times throughout the movie.

"Bloated," is the word I use to sum up this film. Even though a sequel wasn't necessary, this could've been almost as good as the first one, if the story had been more focused and the action and silliness toned down.
