Kings Palace and Left Hand Tunnel Tours at Carlsbad Caverns National Park (#1/418)

On Day 2 of exploring Carlsbad Caverns National Park, we spent the morning doing the King's Palace ranger-led tour in which we went to the deepest section of the cave. In the afternoon we did the Left Hand Tunnel ranger-led tour in which we explored a less developed portion of the cave with lanterns to learn about geology and feel like early cave explorers.
We did a detailed write up of visiting Carlsbad Caverns National Park and you can check it out here: www.adventurousway.com/blog/c...

I have been watching your Outdoors RV videos to learn more about them. I am now moving to your national park series as the same process has been a desire of mine as well. Caves are very interesting. I have been to a few inches country. I have also been to quite a few in Philippines as well. I look forward to more park videos in the future. Thanks and take care.

You will love it! If you have time, I definitely recommend doing one of the ranger led tours. (It's best if you sign up ahead of time on recreation.gov as they may sell out).

Exactly, the caves I (Diana) have seen in Latvia are nothing like this.

Diana, they are amazing.......we have some caves near where I live, but they are there because the rock was hand dug out and you can see the names of workers and the marks they made, something like that I find truly fascinating too.

I agree, that the people history as it relates to natural wonders is fascinating too! We didn't get a chance to show it in this video, but at Carlsbad Caverns there were writings on the walls from early explorers, like Jim White. Our blog post includes one photo that shows some writings on the cave formations: www.adventurousway.com/blog/carlsbad-caverns-national-park-worlds-most-beautiful-cave
