People don’t understand that all you have to do is comply with police and you won’t have this happen 99% of the time. The man was caught breaking into cars, ran away from police and was seen reaching in his pocket when told to put his hands up. If you’re a police officer you can’t risk your or your partners life like that. Even after he broke the law and proceeded to run away, if he had just laid down in the back yard or put his hands up he’d be alive and in jail right now.

Diogo Sena it doesn’t happen there because Portuguese people and African Americans are completely different. We all may be human. But the cultural aspects are much different. Black people are very resistant and non compliant. Not saying all of them are like this, but there are those who are. If you just follow what the office asks you to do and they abuse their powers. That’s what the court system is for. What the media fails to tell you is that the guy who died, was running from the cops and was breaking into cars and running through people’s backyards. He may have been unarmed but he was still causing trouble.

Citizens getting back what thugs been putting out for generations.Too late to be getting sad.

And the morale of this story is don't run from the police no matter what your skin color is... That's the lesson here.

The owner doesn't give a da*n about the Stephon Clark shooting. He only spoke up because it's affecting his profit. They protested at the arena, causing people to not be able to attend the game and this affected his profit. If they didn't protest at the arena, he would've been COMPLETELY SILENT.

I appreciate that as an NBA fan and as a black man in America. It's crazy how so many of these situations like this has happened and no NFL or NBA owners or even MLB owners step outside the box and really do something for the community.

look, i can totally understand why the police in the US is handling things more aggressively. because of crime and gun violence etc.. but there was no clue, that this boy was a real threat to these officers, therefore was no need to shoot him. one warning shot would have been the better option in this situation, instead they fired 20 shots directly on him. there should be no excuse, these officers handled it poorly.

This won't stop until there is something done about it. Let's be real here, these murderous cops need to be going to jail and should never be allowed to carry a badge and gun again. This cop gets suspended with pay? He's a suspect to a murder, it's bullshit. If a civilian murders another, he won't be protected and be suspended from his employer with pay. Unreal the injustice in this country...

My brother is a policeman And he wants these 2 officers in particular tried for murder as we do also. Not all police are corrupt we think the police should be bonded before they are hired. Because this way their backgrounds are very thoroughly checked for any extreme affiliations as well. There are other problems he admits however there is no excuse for murder.

How to not get shot by police: Don't be busting your neighbors sliding glass door. If you stay off your neighbors property and don't vandalize their home and potentially break and enter, you won't have the cops called on you. When the police are called on you, own up to it. Don't peek and scout for the police and then run from them when they tell you to stop and show your hands. Don't continue to run after they repeat STOP, SHOW YOUR HANDS, THREE TIMES. Don't turn around and square up or charge the police. STOP. HANDS UP. COMMUNICATE. My best guess for the officers seeing a gun is the criminal was squaring up to them and possibly recording video. Could be just running with his phone in his hand. Could be using the phone as a fake gun to maybe scare the police away long enough to hop the next fence and run. It's dark, it's hard to see, it'll be hard to tell what he was doing with his phone. Regardless, don't break windows that aren't yours. Don't scout for the police and then run form them. Don't disobey their orders. don't try to run at them. Don't try to square up. Basically, don't be a low-life criminal trying to evade the police and you should be safe. I have never broken into a home or car. I haven't had the police called on me. Also, I call bullshit on him being a innocent man in his grandma's yard. He was breaking windows and hoping fences. That's NOT innocent.

Mistakes are a part of life. If you break into someone’s house and they are home, that is a home invasion. You can never prevent accidents when you put the cops in a lose/lose situation. They are coming into a situation(possible home invasion and chase) that is very dangerous for them. Cops are killed all the time chasing criminals. To pretend otherwise is purposely ignoring facts. Should this guy have been killed? Of course not. But sometimes accidents happen when you get into a situation that turns into life and death all the time. When the cops chase you, don’t run, and especially don’t turn and then run back at them after fleeing them to begin with. Horrible things happen when you put yourself in a dangerous position. Look at the Uber pedestrian death. It’s tragic but you have to be smart and understand accidents happen when you get into a dangerous situation, like this guy did.
