Their first 3 albums were unbelievable.

This is obviously a kick-ass song, but the best part of this video is the beginning. That rendition of the end of "Slow Night, So Long" is so damn good.

good on your mama, what a good memory

When this came out I was really into 70s music and I basically ignored the releases at that time, but this song really got to me, there was something nostalgic about it that was impossible for me to ignore. Now I realize how 2000s and 2010s rock bands were really good and I feel like I didn't enjoy it properly, haha

This is truly a special song. It has a mood that I haven’t found anywhere else.

One of their best songs, in my opinion.

Why? So they can sound exactly the same as they did then? whats the point? Imagine the Beatles stayed as they did from 63/4/5 - you'd never get to magical mystery, revolver or Sgt pepper! Music should always evolve, my fave albums are because of and only by the because i liked their sound/style/lyrcis around that time but i still dig their other albums and this is one of my fave songs including Molly's.

Favorite Kings of Leon song. Still rocking in 2018. "Let the good times roll."

I had the pleasure of seeing them play this song live in Milwaukee, 2009. I'm still in love with everything they do but boy, do I miss this Kings Of Leon.

This is that kind of song. The only kind that really matters. The kind you listen only once, not even knowing who are the people playing or who the authors are, and you immediately say "Where do i find this?"

This song was the first one I heard from the band in 2007 and I loved it, today they are still one of my favorite bands

I just wish is what Kings Of Leon stuck with, greatest missed opportunity for a band ever. This song will never not be amazing.

He is yes. At first i mostly noticed the lead singer, who's voice is absolutely superb. Later i noticed more that the drive mostly comes from the drums (usually does ofc, but you need a good drummer to never lose drive). Smartly alternated with syncopees and such. It doesnt lose drive bc the bass is usually simple on beat and only diverges when the drummer is spot on the rhythm. Very good band and indeed, very good drummer.

This album is perfect to me. slightly more refined than their debut but still feels raw and real compared to their later releases. because of the times is great but to me its their sign off before implementing a very produced sound that only by the night embodies.

totally agree with your statement. Because of the Times is also a bit too dark, while the second one has that raw country feeling from the first one mixed with a bit more refinement.

If I had to show someone who'd never heard of KOL their best work I'd show them this masterpiece....unfortunately not their latest stuff, God damnit.

Beat album they made by far. Just love the originality of it

Because of the Times is one of their best albums and it came out after this. Come around Sundown I thought had some top quality tracks in it. Mechanical Bull wasn't bad by any means but only had like 3-4 great tracks. Hopefully this new one has some gems in it. Singles have been alright so far.

This song still holds up incredibly well. The End just got me on a KOL kick. This video....every time I hear the guy welcomes "...Kings of Leon," I swear it's Robert Earl Keen.

this song is just awesome! this is the kings of leon that I fell in love with. Still love them now. The music has changed over the years and they have become more mainstream but there still better than anything else out there!!nothing will change my love for this band! keep rocking boys from England.
