In this video, we drove down to Kings Island for Passholder preview and opening weekend. Passholder preview is a special event reserved for pass holders only. Drink plans and meal plans are accepted during this event. It was a great chance to get back into the park and ride some rides before non-pass holder guests on opening day, April 20th.
This year, the big focus is on their new kids area, Camp Snoopy and its newest roller coaster, Snoopy's Soap Box Racer. This family coaster will make Kings Island the kids coaster capital of the world, with 5 kids themed roller coasters!
In addition to the SSBR, Camp snoopy will have a Beagle Scout Acres play area and new quick service restaurant, Pig Pen's Mess Hall. These new additions will open in Late Spring according to Kings Island.
In addition to the new rides, four other existing Planet snoopy rides will be joining them. Woodstocks Air Rail, Franklin's Flyers**** (Sorry I said Gliders in the video!!!), Linus Launcher, and Charlie Brown's Rushing River Log Ride. These four attractions were open during our visit!
In addition to Camp Snoopy, Juke Box Diner and Chicken Shack were updated during the offseason. Brewhouse also has a new Chicken sandwich and is bringing back some old favorites (We will try and visit on opening day!).
The park is also celebrating multiple ride anniversaries this year and they had some awesome themed merchandise for Banshee's 10 year, Diamondback's 15 year, Invertigo's 25th year, and The Beast's 45 year anniversary. Opening day will have some special trading cards for the first 750 riders on each ride!
