This really reminds me of the Anime "Gate" where portals to another world open in Japan and they decide to bring a whole platoon of modern weapons including tanks in there only to find enemies on the tech level of the roman empire.

The company only had experience doing slot machine games and the CEO decided they had to make an FPS. Best part was their marketing stunt at PAX with costumed characters asking people how they'd like to change the course of history. The African American gentleman politely declined about the Civil War when asked lol

I remember being a kid growing up in the 80's and 90's I had army men, knights, tanks, jets, helicopters, and I always wondered what it would look like if someone went back in time and showed up in a hopeless battle with modern weapons just to heroically turn the tide.... I can now live out that fantasy, this is exactly the game I never thought I needed until I saw it.

As a "Gate: Jieitai Kanochi Nite, Kaku Tatakaeri" fan, it will be a MUST buy for me

This one also has the RTS base building elements which is very cool. Always loved strategy rpgs with armies since I was a kid like Dragon Force for the Saturn, Last Remnant for the Xbox360 and KuF, but they're hard to come by lol 😅

Right? Lol Seeing that truck plowing through all those knights had me the same way. It's also a beat up old redneck looking car too, which makes it even better! Kind of surprised there's not a Confederate flag on it tbh.

Reminds me of the Trailer within The Last Action Hero for Hamlet where Arnie just starts killing all the knights with a machine gun.

I once had a week long discussion/debate online about who would win at the Alamo if the defenders were a single squad of modern Marines instead. I still think about that scenario and hope this game brings in different eras of warfare in the future.

If this is battle to battle strategy, I wonder what the in universe explanation is for him getting more bullets for each battle.

Darkest of Days was really fun and with a similar concept, I hope this delivers!

This concept is perfect. Reminds me of Time Cop the movie. Opening scene dudes with machine guns rob a stage coach back in time when guns didn’t exist.

Idea: maybe allow gamers a share of the company with each purchase to allow gaming community shareholders rights to help protect to direction and not be corrupted by current outside interests.. Love this game concept and direction! Would love to see this succeed and maintain the integrity

YOU HAVE NO IDEA HOW BADLY I HAVE WANTED A GAME LIKE THIS!!!! Let me explain. There's this anime called GATE: thus the jsdf fought there, I really like it. Tldr modern 2015 Japan military goes to Roman empire Era world and fucking kurbstomp with modern weapons again swords and shields. And then there's my even more favorite, Nihonkoku Shoukan (Summoning Japan). A manga about the entire country of Japan getting mysteriously transported to this new fantasy world that has medieval Level development AND THEY FUCKING CRUSH! It's basically modern military porn, and I love this shit!!!!!

This is next level insane and i love it. 2024 is the gigachad of gaming years
