I just listened to the Kingdom of the Apes episode and everything Sam nitpicked was exactly why my grade went down for the movie. 1) who was teaching them to speak 300 years later? Even if they were jn a bunker at the end that doesnt mean they have the means to teach people and that fluently if she is supposed to be a teenager 2) the clothing/trendy look bugged me too. The people at the end had no blemishes, normal clothes and looked like they were wearing makeup as if Loreal Paris was still manufacturing beauty products 3) How did she know where all of this was with no map and no resources? She didn't even have food and was starving when they found her 4) They definitely needed to show more of the primitive people 5) The satellites were all rusted and worn away due to time and no maintenance but somehow her jeans and tank top are barely torn and are just dirty? Get out of my face with all of that. If the movie was solely about the apes it would have been a solid A

The movie Kingdom of the Planets of the Apes ended where it was supposed to begin. The story was wasted on unnecessary events, failed to amplify the main event of its final ending. The serious flaw in the movie was the unrealistic, illogical assertion that Apes in a functional kingdom could not evolve as humans did. The story was a shock that ended in a flawed claim that Apes were inferior to humans. If the entire the story was fictional, why end it in naive, non-fictional, sad outcome?

Not sure if I agree with you, Mr. Big Rig. The story does not make the claim that the Apes are inferior to the humans. Quite the contrary, in the final conversation between Noa and Mae, we see the continued hubris of Mae's humanity. The idea that humans have a right as a species to own this planet and do with it what they will is humanity's flaw. Noa just wants room for his clan, he doesn't want to take over the world. Proximus, on the other hand, was more similar to the humans in that he wanted power and to make his world all to himself.

@@moronsmincemovies My dear, the elephant is in the room. The movie already made the Apes to speak English, reason in the style of low-life, jump, fight, and team up. So, relying on she said, he said, won't minimize the disappointment of a human holding a gun behind her back, in case she had to kill the Ape. I speculate that a graphic artist dominated the production, while underestimating the importance of a plausible story. When a talented graphic artist lacks the talent of fictional art, he concocts a bogus tale where two gangs disagree on the discourse. The first movie on Planet of Apes put a more plausible fiction, where a spaceship got lost in spacetime, just to return to Earth when the Apes climbed higher on the evolution of species, outperformed humans on various fields of knowledge. That sounds like marrying Charles Darwin to Albert Einstein.

I'm unsure what you mean in your first 2 paragraphs. These 4 movies were all prequels to the events from the 1980s/90s planet of the apes.
