Yea even the MoM says that the book doesn't contain everything, would make sense that the MoM knowing that Darkness would peek into the book would choose to leave the part around daybreak towns destruction and the birth of Scala out of the book since that is the moment that the 13 Darkness fragments are trapped I don't think the cutscene with (probably Luxu) holding the keyblade is really blocking the eye's sight more like a dramatic way of showing the keyblade, and I do think both him and the Brain at the end of UX in the coat IS Luxu, there's just no way he would give the box to anyone else (I just think he goes takes over Brain for a while so that way 2 people can use 1 pod) and after hanging around for a bit he leaves him in Scala for Sigurd to find, taking the box and keyblade with him

It's literally just the timeline where Brain is a union leader since the original WRITTEN plan was for Strellitzia to be a union leader but Darkness divides the timeline by killing Strellitzia and forcing Ava's hand picking another union leader. It seems odd that we need to differentiate that timeline unless it's relevant to KH4's plot. Perhaps the Quadratum we see in the KH4 trailer is actually the timeline where Strellitzia was never killed and she took Brain's place?

"Missing Link" I think has multiple meanings. 1. The Missing Link between games., KHUX and Beyond. 2. The Missing Link for us as the players, because this will tie everything together. 3. The Missing Link for the Master of Masters (since his eye is being covered up on the keyblade) and for the Book of Prophesy to be written. I think Missing Link is a LITERAL lost page from the Book of Prophesy

I'll give you one better: the name of the game is "Missing-Link", with a hyphen. Usually hyphens are used in weblinks to connect words. What I think it means, is that Ephemer may have wanted to look for clues or the whereabouts of Union X's Player character, maybe for trying to bring them back from darkness, or rather, from where he sent them at the end of the game. And where was that? A digital space that connected Wreck-It Ralph's world to digital Daybreak Town, that was sealed off, one side by Ephemer, and the other by the Player character. So, "Missing-Link" may be referring to an error message in a computer, when trying to search for a web link, specifically the digital location of the Player character, or even the computer that hosted the digital Daybreak Town that got disconnected in the destruction of the real town. And if that is true, then our ultimate goal is to find and release Player's heart from there, ultimately going on to become Xehanort. Maybe that is also the point of the search, to make sure that the future happens, and Xehanort exists.

I just felt looking at the title, that the hyphen there is deliberate and has a significance for how we read the title, adding the computer speak I mention in my comment to the meanings the original commenter brings up for the expression of "Missing Link". Can't wait to see if that is the case or not!

I miss the days of staying up late or getting up early to tiredly go through a new update with an equally sleep deprived Damo trying to unravel the glorious mess of KHUX. If Missing Link provides even one of those days, I'll be happy :)

I personally think the person in the Black Coat is going to turn out to be Sigurd. Since we saw another hooded figure besides the Master in the KH4 trailer and he’s the narrator of both trailers. Maybe it also foreshadows why he puts his hand over the gazing eye? A connection to meeting the Master in Quadratum? Lore aside, the gameplay is honestly the best out of the mobile games so far. Even the statues of the characters (imo) look much cooler than the medals. It is unfortunate that it’s still a Gacha game but perhaps since it is borrowing gameplay assets from KH3. You won’t nearly run into many roadblock where you don’t have to buy to win.

Maybe it's just me, but as soon as I saw this I got the vibe that this was Demyx's somebody. Dyme, Myde, Edym, Ydem, Ymed, whatever his name is going to end up being. Something about the white-coated character just gives me Demyx vibes, despite the absence of any "DANCE, WATER, DANCE!!!" voice clips.

Very interesting but the white coat character is possibly a customizable player character, so just like the player, he won't have a defined name so I don't know if it could be Demyx's somebody

YESSS thank you so much for making Missing Link content. I'm sad that almost no one is talking about it. It is confirmed that the character we see in the trailer is our own playable character like in UX. I also have a theory that this game will feature customizable keyblades based on how they look. You would be able to choose the hilt, blade, and teeth to create a keyblade of your own design and stats. The keyblade we see at the end of the trailer in the darkside bossfight I believe to be another version of starlight and will be our starter keyblade.

I'm not sure if I want to spend 5 more years playing another kh mobile to keep up with the story again, I think I'll watch on KZread, hey awesome video btw

Good vid. I guessed then confirmed Sigurd speaking in Missing-Link but I didn't know about KHIV. That raises some questions. I know we see two black coats with one obviously the Master but I didn't believe the other to be Luxu.

@@Stanlyy. There is chance to gain profit from giving people choice and making then play the game. If you make people want to play your game there will be people that would want by will want to spend money on the gatcha, but for that you need to make it fair and possible. Look at the Dissidia mobile game, most of it's money is made by selling costumes because the gatcha system is design so that even free to play players can get what they desire from the gatcha. So yeah, it's healthy to keep a cynical point of view, and im not denying what you are saying but you don't have to completely close your mind to how positive reinforment could exist on a game, to later on change the main source of income without the players realizing.

You're really being ingenuos if you think that. The ones in the world will just work like the free currency pulls, that's it. It still gacha.

Scala ad Cailum was transformed between when Xehanort left to Destiny Islands and when he returns. Whatever changed it happened quickly. Brain's keyblade is known to be able to transform architecture through magic, so that's probably somehow related.

Damn bro I think you got it So what you sre saying is Luxu saved Brain by releasing his heart and placing into the pod, but Luxu still took his body so that he would be able to continue watching. Brain was able to reform in Scala because his hat is the medium, and Ephemera probably passed down the stories of himself and his friends so people could still remember Brain.

Luxu states in KH3's secret reports that he bequeathed No Name and left Keybladeless, so the "Brain" with no name at the end cant be Luxu.

I believe you're correct, except I don't think the method Luxu employs required the Life Boat. From there, Brain does indeed get No Name just as Luxu says and is around for the duration of Brain's lifespan. Though it does feel there is some shenanigans/backroom deal going on, as why would that same Brain be alive well after Ephemer's passing and still have No Name? We'll find out soon enough. EDIT: WAIT, WAIT, WAIT. Are we...all sure that the 'Brain' that arrives is y'know, Brain? I said shenanigans in my previous part of this comment but what if we got it backwards? A switcheroo?!

The eye covering makes me think it’s luxu as luxu explained he had a plan and the mom reiterated at the end of ux that luxu was the traitor and what would a traitor do cover the eye

I personally think Luxu wore Brain for awhile, then jumped vessels after doing what he needed to do. Then, he send Brain to Scala where he would meet him again as a different human. Apparantly, according to the Master of Masters, Luxu can use the corridors. So if Luxu was controlling Brain, Brain could use them, too. Also, even through Xemnas and Xehanort are different people and they are the same person. So if Luxu gave the Keyblade to a fusion of Luxu and Brain, this fusion is technically a different person. So Luxu is Keybladeless but this fused Being is not.

I love the special attacks from union cross they're so unique and flashy. These games seem to use the attacks themselves as the gacha element so there will definitely be a lot of cool unique attacks but this time in 3d. If there is one thing that gets constantly better each game is the attacks and how flashy they are. With the mobile games these flashy attacks have more freedom to be even more better than the console games. I hope they learn from union cross and dark road by deciding that the combat should be more similar to the traditional kh combat so it at least is fun to play with more.

This is the game I'm actually most excited about. KH4 won't be out for a while, Dark Road will be...okay I guess, but I hate flick games. But this game could have some juicy lore, and I got into Union Cross super late (last month - beat the game in 3 days, though!), so being able to follow one as it evolves and progresses might be cool.

The fact it's called missing link kind of supports the idea that it's a period in time not written in the book a gap between the end of union cross and dark roads that was never recorded of course that doesn't explain Sigurd although it could be someone who knows there is an odd gap in the book and tries to correct it. Pretty excited to see the story

EDIT: They now have Union X and Dark Roads up in full :) I'm still so sad that Kingdom Hearts Union X / Back Roads / X have all just been... deleted. I think I got around halfway through and now it's just 100% offline. I really hope they bring it back someday, even just an offline version to play through would be pretty cool. I feel like fans would enjoy playing it even just the way it is now. This is coming form someone that hated it for years.. lol. Only recently have I realized how important the story to it actually is (Thanks to you!). Awesome video

It's possible the person at the end of Union X is Luxu, and he is identical to Brain. It has to be Luxu because he has the Black Box, and there are similarities between Sora-Gula, Kairi-Ava etc so if they were identical to them I wouldn't be surprised Also, the new player character could be Ludor (a Norse naming convention somebody for Luxord, related to Loki - considering his and Luxord have the same hair colour)

A MMO is a money sink in development. They would never make one.

I like the higher effort they've put in this game and if its free and not super predatory I don't mind throwing them some bucks here or there to support it

I hope this mobile game has a first person action kind of gameplay like the other kingdom hearths games

I just had a horrible, horrible thought... Considered the very recent effort Square Enix has made to plant their roots further in the NFT market, I'm now deeply concerned they will try to implement that kind of tecnology in Missing Link, with the collectible statues and all. Considered you probably have a slightly better knowledge of Square as a company, considered all the research you do for these videos (great job, btw. I can appreaciate much of the story only thanks to you) do you also feel there is a chance of that happening?

I recently started to play the new Marvel mobile game, Marvel Ultimate Alliance and something tells me it’s the same kind of gameplay with magical tweaks. Move with one finger, attack with the other.

Kingdom Hearts has always been my favorite game series, Pokémon Go is the game I play more than anything though. From money to time it has my heart, and pocket too haha Edit: If Arendale comes back that will be a deal breaker in me playing this game 😂

Hmm, on an emulator like bluestacks I think you can enable controller support and map touching certain parts of the screen to controller button inputs. Will be worth testing when the beta comes out!

What a shame. I love kingdom Hearts. I played all version from the Ps2,PSP and Xbox one Games. BUT I will not play no gotcha game even if it's Kingdom Hearts because of how much time is required to play them plus they are not permanent being an online only cloud game. Too bad because I really don't wanna Miss out on another game like union cross but guess this will be another of their Gotcha Side games I will have to miss because I'm not playing no gotcha.

I never had to WATCH a game before instead of playing it but gotcha games are just not a good direction for games to go. Too bad like He said, Game developers seem how dumb people are an throw so much money into gotcha games that they are making less real games and more gotcha versions of everything. All people have to do is not Pay and they are gone simple as that. But I o'well not till it's too late we're real game no longer exists will they learn.

Look I like gacha games but lets be honest KHUX was one of the worst power creep/money pinching mobile games out there. Mobile games over all aren't as bad as the game was handled. KHMS is going to have the same systems as KHUX I'm almost positive and its gonna suck. I would hope they learned from KHUX but they probably only looked at the profits and think it works so they can do it again.
