Aboslutely, Hikaru Utada is amazing but this version is better in my opinion. Plus, starting up kingdom hearts 3 for the 1st time and seeing this after playing the games since 2002 really hit me in the feels.

Instrumental version fit a lot at the start of journey, Utada Hikaru version fit a lot at the credit scene. So both is good in it's own way

i cried when this was on my screen for the first time. i haven't finished the game yet and i'm really enjoying it but there's something strange about it. i have lived with that feeling of looking forward to this game for 13 years now and to think of that this feeling is gone after i have finished the game makes me not wanting to finish it...

Getting hit back to back with the title screen opening and the actual game opening theme probably broke a lot of people emotionally.

I had goosebumps and felt really sad just to think I was a kid when I played these games...it reminded me of middle school.high school,the sports ,first girlfriend,and bunch of fights. I am 26 now married with to kids and a college professor now. It’s pretty funny to talk with the freshman that come in class and we have a discussion about kingdom hearts lol

I've never played Kingdom Hearts until this year, ngl, when this song played in the screen I was speechless, crying. No reason at all, I just cried. Now reading the comments, I know how this feels like: nostalgia. As I said before: I've never played Kingdom Hearts until now, but definitely I'm playing this saga from the very start. Reading the comments I saw that this fan community is one of the most beautiful ones I've ever seen, if not the most. Hey man, just wanted to check how you’re kingdom hearts journey was going. I was around 12-13 when I first ever played the first kingdom hearts and I’m literally in love with these series of games, i completed all the kingdom hearts games and once I saw the teaser for kingdom hearts 4 I got so fuckin hyped for it. For the time being though, I’m 15 trying to rerun them and get the platinum trophies for all of them in chronological order which is going pretty smoothly and I’m having a bunch of fun with it. I just got the platinum trophy for kingdom hearts 2 a couple of weeks ago and let me just say that kingdom hearts 2 is by far my favorite out of all of them which I was also wondering where you’re at and which one is your favorite so far?🤔

@@jeremiahcolunga9856 I've been busy with college, but I can say that KH 2 is the best game of the franchise, not because it's mechanically better than any of the others, but because it holds an emotional value for me. Roxas is the one character in the whole franchise that got me in tears in several occasions. I found his story relatable at some extent. This'll sound weird, but I saw myself in Roxas and when I got to fight him as Sora I felt like I was fighting "my other self" and bursted to tears. So yeah, long story short, KH 2 is my fav (and sorry for the extension). How about you? How's your journey going?

The new mechanics to the game were amazing in my opinion but what really made me love the game even more was Roxas, you really couldn’t have explained it any better. He is by far my favorite character 100%. Anyways, my journey’s going really good but I’m not the biggest fan of birth by sleep so it’s a little hard for me especially because I’m trying to get the platinum trophy for it but you best believe I’m gonna get it no matter how long it takes LMAO. It was cool talking to you about KH tho, I hope you enjoy the rest of the KH games like I have. Don’t let college stress you out too much tho lol

@@odinfernandez6978 So. How's your journey been now? Where are you in the story? This game series has made us laugh our asses off at Donald's anger, and Sora's... well, everything. It's made us cry, such as Roxas' life, Aqua's story... Xion as a whole. (Wont say why; possible spoiler.) It's made us proud, such as fighting Sephiroth and overcoming him, as well as other challenges along the way. It's made us think, such as Xemnas as a whole... I still LOVE his character, and feel he's a perfect villain. I'd love to hear your journey as well too.

Oh wow.

I can't explain why, but I love the 2:54 moment, when the Jimmy's Journal start to flip pages and the music fits perfectly.

Looking at the comments I see I wasn't the only one who teared up! Followed this series since I was in elementary school and now a senior college student. Seeing all of the moments like this made me feel quite emotional.

Coming back 2 years from the game release just reminds me of how far we've gotten though the series.

Absolutely came to this video just to hear everyone else express their love for this piece. I also let it run every time I turn the game on, and always will because it genuinely pumps me the fuck up.

Always will have goose bumps for parts of the orchestra. Cryin so hard when first time watching it in the kh3 PC. Just feels like "More adventures coming, along with more amazing Disney legacies." So much nostalgic and warmth playing kh series. Fking worth the money.

Ahhh, now I know why I watch this opening every time I play KH3. I played KH1 when I was 20. I turn 38 this year, and am finally playing KH3. 18 years. 18. In my heart I knew this and have loved these characters for decades, but did not put two and two together. Cool. I’ll have a brilliantly ugly cry tonight.

Oh man it's been 2 long years since this master piece came out, I remember the first time I listen and saw this, man so many memories from when our journey started, I was only 6 years old when I first played Kingdom Hearts, man it's been almost 20 years since this saga, this is my all time favorite game.

Despite being a KH newcomer,I am very much obsessed with this title screen opening,even until now. KH3 was my 1st KH game but despite that,I feel oddly..."connected" the characters that I see on the screen upon first seeing it. Not to mention,the orchestral rendition of "Don't Think Twice" absolutely BLEW ME AWAY when I first listened to it. Having played the older KH games,the opening just feels so much more special now. It's nice to look back at the iconic scenes throughout the series,in chronological order too. It''s crazy how KH3,despite its flaws,has so much charm and love put into it to the point where even newcomers like me can feel moved by it and enjoy it as much as others would

I have never played any kingdom hearts game but I watched mrtlexify’s video with this intro and his story about the person he knew who died before this game came out and before he even told the story I was crying just because of the song this may be the most emotional song I’ve ever heard when I have no previous emotional weight to this and I can only imagine how hard those who did have emotional attachment to this cried. Damn. Now I have to play all of these games. Just cause this song is that good.

When you see that iconic golden text all kinds of memories flow back from previous Kingdom Hearts games and you become overwhelmed with joy and sadness

I don't know where to post my reaction so I'm going to post here. During the middle of the opening, all my emotions just came like "bam". I'm still crying like a baby as I type this down as I let my game idle in the menu screen while dearly beloved play in the background. I never knew I needed this game until now. All the emotions and memories... I haven't even play the game yet and I already think Kingdom Hearts 3 is Infinity/10. Ah, I don't think I can play with teary eyes and wet lens. I'm freaking 25 and I'm still feeling the emotions from a game I grew up with. Resident Evil 2 Remake couldn't even make me this emotional. Kids these days who's all about FPS and online multiplayer, especially Fortnite, don't know what they're missing out on. Thank you, Squire Enix! Now that I finally calm down after 15 minutes of crying, it's time to play Kingdom Hearts 3.

I only just started playing this series about a month ago and this opening still hit me pretty hard. I can't imagine how much this would hit me if i actually grew up playing these games.

I admire how the scenes from the past games are footage from the HD re-releases of the games and not remade with the new engine. If you've played and/or watched the previous games all the way through, it not only shows how far Sora and his friends have come but how far we've come experiencing the series, through the good times and the often frustrating times. All the waiting paid off. ❤️ Tis weird feeling because you play them as kids in the first game and you see them growing in the next installments and bring closure to all those years.

Real Kingdom Hearts fans were speechless with tears running down thier face with thoughts of childhood nostalgia. I couldn't look away from the screen seeing this for the first time. What a journey. Now the Remind DLC. I love this series. It holds a very special place in my heart.

Can we appreciate the fact that the chess board rises and falls as the camera pans around it to emphasize the fact that it’s a 3D chessboard to showcase that it is in fact because holy fuck. It’s a fucking optical illusion in a real time cutscene!

I literally played just the third game (KH3) and still have the feeling of nostalgia watching this. What a incredible experience it was to play this game, I've never felt so happy playing a game before...

I have game pass on my xbox, and i had never even heard of kingdom hearts before...so i downloaded the third one, just to see what it was all about...this is what played when i booted it up, and i actually cried, and i downloaded to rest...safe to say it completely sold me
