There's a work-around in Roxas and Xion being heavily over-worked, potentially not getting any time to rest to make up for lost Hearts. And who knows how many Heartless Riku beat up during 358/2 Days.

There have been game cheats (Gameshark) where players have swapped Sora out to play as Goofy. He doesn't even need to attack. He deals damage simply by running into the enemy. Hell, there was even a KH2 video where Goofy had Sephiroth at his mercy because running the shield into him just stunlocked him

I think party members in 2 don't have a revenge value so that they can't fuck up your combos as Sora by triggering the boss into escaping early.

Goofy is such a gigachad that he lets his sidekick Sora get the finishing blow to give him some spotlight

I love who he gets another accessory slot upon killing the final boss meaning you could have been even stronger

1:43:00 Donald WAS actually taking damage during this fight. The ring attack from the invisible appears on top of your character, so it can touch Donald who was hanging in the void. In fact you can see invisibles starting that attack and not targeting Sora or Goofy, so it has to hit the duck.

So funny story of first time I played KH1, I didn’t really understand how the game worked so I may have been underleveled or didn’t properly equip skills. So for the Ursula fight I was stuck and I just kept avoiding her lightning attacks while letting goofy do all the work and Ariel heal him, and it’s also how I found out sora had to do the finishing blow on fights

Ars Goofum is my favorite command.
