Ahh yes Hardcore mode.. Now you get to spend 5-10 minutes finding your way back out of the woods using the direction and travel of the sun....LOL XD

I know right? I remember when I was kid, people did something similar. They used to use like these paper maps (yes, a fucking paper) that didn't even show your current location. They had to like figure out where they are, calculate best route themselves. I don't how they got around. Must had been hell to have actual sense of direction... :D

@@hexer2147 , you just have to contanstly pay attention to where you are and compare with the map. This way you know where you are located. It is a skill you can train by relying less on your smartphone. My brother would dump me in the middle of London and just tell me to walk around for the entire day until he would finish working, then we would have to meet up at a location of his choosing. It was scary at first, but it taught me how to use the tube (metro) and maps. It was just a few years before smartphones appeared.

@@hexer2147 It's called orienteering. I am pretty proficient with a map and compass too, the trick is not to get lost to begin with. :D

After Blocking Dont press anything on your mouse coz it will likely Cancel the Master Strike

I'm doin a playthrough with maces, and this is easy mode. Get a Ravens beak and start poking holes Might do a bow only next, But no ai breaking exploits.

Well, the game plays like a modern oblivion. Some combat perks are the same, leveling system is almost identical.

I love this game but they really gotta improve the lock on combat controls especially for kcd2. I play on console fyi. If there are 4-5 cumans surrounding u u are basically screwed especially on hardcore mode. There will be people attacking u from all sides and if u lock off to get in a good position the enemies "tackle" u nonstop. I still win these fights if im in a good position and kill them quickly but its still annoying af.

​@@uNpOpuLArOpInION69 you're right but this is a game so it doesnt have to 1000% realistic. The problem with that kind of gameplay is it severely limits your options when fighting enemies head on and if u are ambushed by surprise you have zero chance of winning even with the best stats, armor, weapons, AND combat skills. At least irl i can look at any enemy at any time and not be forced to look at one enemy in front of me while 3 dudes behind me are attacking.

​@@uNpOpuLArOpInION69That's fine. But then you have 6 peasants that knows master strike and various combos while my level 20 warfare Henry can't do anything about them master striking me. Late game is just, sits there, press Q, stab, press Q, stab. But if try to feint and use combos, you're punish for it.

​@@uNpOpuLArOpInION69no, anyone excusing the factual flaws in the combat should be ashamed, the combat has a lot of issues, the enemie clip through eachother and sometimes just run around and into you stupidly. Sometimes animations don't play, don't work. Combat needs to be fixed heavily into kcd2

They usually aren't at the same distance from you so it takes time till they reach you. Believe me in this game you get often in 1v3/4

Yeah, that's not the issue on HC when you are fighting 3+ of them and they actively try to surround you and beat you in the head with hammer from behind while you are in a clutch with their body :D

you REALLY have to consider WHEN to get into agro....because 3 or more at any level would have been a deathsentence.(or at least a knock out pre weapon owning stage of game ... ).... and I thought there were just the 2 ... which at that point I was starting to deal with confidently .... You have to think of a strategy...in general...and your set of tactics for what you are considering...... which obviously is not possible when ambushed.....ANOTHER reason I LOVE this game... cause ambush can just happen .....its buzzing. I often sneak in .. position my horse ready for getaway...and personally go lightweight armour and stealth as much as I can.....if 3 heavy armoured guys turn on me ... I run !!!!!! you cant just tank it out....thats immature... foolish... unreal....

everytime i try to use those i learned from bernard enemies easily dodges or parries.. i just have to go all out slash slash until one hits

You're talking about combos. Master Strikes are ripostes and cannot be dodged.

master strikes are master strikes, riposte is attack from perfect parry.

@@krekk2751 Riposte is a quick counter attack after parrying opponent's attack. In game, ripostes and master strikes are both ripostes. In any case, semantics on the side, master strikes still cannot be dodged or parried. Which was the actual point of the comment.

The timing doesn't change for hardcore mode at all. Just slightly harder to figure it out without the UI. Until you get the hang of it at least. The higher your warfare and defense skills, the larger the perfect block and masterstrike windows.

yeah, just abuse master strike, everything else is bs, if you surprise your enemy with change of direction attack too fast thy will counter it cuz it didnt register, you have to change direction and wait half a second for it to register, like thats so fking stupid, like its a bug in their coding but somehow they are ok with it

The mechanics are clunky but not bs imo. I Have played kcd through about 4 Times now And it has never really bothered me. If you find your rhythm and block on Time you'll Be fine. I Have never learnt Masters strikes really lol
