When they are labbing (especially me), they feel like having their combos at max damage, and look kinda cool. But for some launchers, (e.g. CH b1,2 or FC1) the max dmg not looks that cool. Great video, learned a lot of new things. One combo alternative, not sure if I missed it for the hard combo at 1:07 is to do uf4, 4, df4,3, 2, dash, b1, 2, dash, 2, SW; this only nets 1 more damage (72) but I find it easier to do than the 1,2, uf3+4, dash, 2 combo.

Wanna let anyone who see's this know I found a MUCH more reliable staple from emerald elbow in heat db1+2,2(F) > f1+2 > f3 > df2,1 > df4,3 > b1,2 > fff2+4 Does 62 (40), and is pretty light on execution Also looks like all kings combos survived the patch if the patch-notes are to be believed

Really struggling with the frame input at 22:02 for the DASH -> SSR -> *2, seem to have to get it frame pefect for the right hand slap to come out and even then I still can't get the grab off. Is this normal?

Yes this combo is very difficult, even Lil_Majin said this combo is difficult to do in of itself. If you can land it, props to you. It's definitely worth doing, so keep at the practice!

Yeah so if you see "Jack only" on the subtitle it usually means it's exclusive to him. However if it doesn't have jack only on there, it's because it works on all male characters that I know of. I just chose to use a clip where I did it on Jack because recording for these becomes a very long process.

Yes you could, but that's not guaranteed damage. You can still break the giant swing part of it.

Really cool combos, but no easy combos with 4, b2, 4 , b3, wr2+4 sequence. No wall carry but quite damaging.

Great combos. Tried the combos that have f3 for pickup but if the opponent rolls or quick stands the combo will drop. Any ideas?

You've just gotta time it correctly. For the f3 against regular opponents, you've gotta dash f3 earlier than the ones vs jack, the final f3 has to be a deep dash. Best of luck 🫡

Set the opponent to crouch. Practice doing f n f f 2+4 It is very important that you hold the last forward for at least 1 frame before the 2+4. So your history should be f [any number of frames] N[any number of frames] f[1 - 3 frames] n[1-3 frames] f[1-3 frame] f+2+4[any numer of frames] The throw blue sparks if the last f n f add up to 6 or less E.g. f [3 frame] n[2 frames] f [1 frames] f+2+4 Will blue spark. If the issue is your are too slow - practicing a bit everyday will make you faster. I reccomend keeping an eye on your command history and making sure your last f, f+2+4 is exactly 1 frame -- since getting that in 1 frame is about timing your button press and is easier in my opinion than getting a 1 frame neutral or forward input.

It's tough, just keep practicing. You'll get the timing if you do it outside of a combo for sure

How to do dash f3 without getting wr3?

For the life of me I cannot get the dash in between moves. I’m on Xbox controller and am not sure if that’s the issue or if it’s just me. Example is @26:13 I cannot get the dash timing right. Any advice?

I can't land that Dash -> Neutral 2 after doing UF+3+4 tailspin I just end up getting Stomach Smash (f,f,N,2) Dash is supposed to mean press f,f right?

Because that combo has to start by stepping to the left side of your opponent. Which is common in this game as sidestepping is even better in 8 than 7

Yes! Try your best to learn your throw game. Learn the Giant swing and Tombstone piledriver inputs. Learn your tomahawk input as well. When learning combos, check the videos graphic on the right hand side to translate the many different inputs to better understand the games language.

combos that ends with a wall, isnt it best to do gs? instead of going for running exploder?

If you hit the running exploder with the right timing it doesn't scale. So for long combos a well timed exploder becomes optimal

As 8 bit pineapple described, going for a running exploder makes the damage far higher. The gs at the wall is also very scaled, while the running exploder when hit at the lowest point of a wall slump gives me even more damage.

Some Characters have even harder combos, however these are somewhat tame. The max damage stuff however is the hardest difficulty.

You must press forward 3 times, then after a bit, return to neutral then press 2. The third forward is extremely important.

No db2 combos, no small combos, no mention that cd1+2 or df2,1 combos are CH, no mention df2,1 combo is male only unless you hit a fairly tight dash before df4,3 pickup, randomly switching between CH and natural launchers. We don't floor or balcony break in this game? "JGS" is Jaguar Step since Tekken 5 make up something else for Jaguar Sprint, also no actual JGS1 combos. Idk man I guess its better than the CBT combo vids and I'm sure you spent a bunch of time trying to fit SSL f1+2 into every possible combo and maximizing floor/wall blast damage.

Damn bro. You beat me to it. I was recording all these combos with every path possible for my channel. But you have done it so early. Guess I will skip my video.

I love that we all lab and magically arrive to the same optimals not yet done watching but I found an easy 75 dmg combo on uf+4, you just 4 to b+2,4 to micro dash b+2,1 to dash 2 to iSW

These combos are for intermediate/advanced players bro, these combos take skill and perfect execution…not calling you bad but this is really is a good way to get good with button inputs maybe you should be practicing real combos for advanced players instead of relying on the same boring combos
