King Salmon Fishing on Lake Michigan - Taking a Break From Walleye
Спорт
We left my home waters of Lake Erie to head west to Lake Michigan with Capt. Chip and
Capt Chris to test the newest Silver Streak Lures and have some fun fishing for salmon. In this video we break down some of gear and techniques to use when chasing the big ones.
Capt. Ross Robertson has made his complete living chasing walleye as a full time professional angler for more than 20 years. Through the years he has worn many hats including time as a fishing guide, boat salesman, TV host, outdoor writer, product designer, tournament fisherman, speaker, radio host and podcaster to name a few.
Ross fishes ice-out to ice-up on the Great Lakes. He spends the majority of the year walleye fishing on Lake Erie’s Western and Central basins.

Please do!😂
That spinning flasher at the beginning gives me so much anxiety!
Deepest king on lake ontario this year was 254ft DOWN
Don’t know if you’ve done it but Spring kings, browns, and cohos Lake Ontario Point Breeze. Using body baits bandits work great. Lots of fun and not a ton of people do it.
Great video 🔥

You guys are aware that the preferred temp of the alewife is higher than what the chinooks like, right? The reason kings are so often caught out of temp is they're following the food, not because they've acclimated themselves to the great lakes. They still like the cold, but they gotta eat.

Alewife liking temps in the 60's is a different issue than what chip was talking about. These "newer" salmon have been spending significantly more time in warmer water and they have seemingly acclimated to it
