Every one of these Horse Guards has the patience of a Saint what with all these idiot tourists acting like true insane two-legged animals. It appears none of them (the tourists) has read the signs of warning about don't touch the reins, horses will bite, etc.

I watch the way some of these people approach the horses and pat them. To the horse it must feel like a fly crawling on them

Sometimes I think these tourists actually think these guards are a show for them. And don’t realize how real and serious they are. I’m an American, and that even angers me. People are so disrespectful.

I am an American also and agree with you. I do think many of the tourist do not speak or read English hence handling the reins. Respect due to these faithful military men and women.

Let's get real. These guards ARE for show. They do not provide any security function whatsoever. The real security forces are the officers on foot with submachine guns and 2 way radios

I so agree. I am an American too and this is really upsetting to me and make me angry the way those tourists are mocking and ridiculing these wonderful Hose Guards and their horses. They are not a tourist attraction these soldiers and their horses are doing their duty.

They are Soldiers serving in the British army trying to do a job in amongst all these weird and wonderful tourists who don't care a bit for anyone but themselves.Forces do a great job.thankyou all.and not forgetting the beautiful steeds, also serving the country.❤

Love that black Guard, he is so graceful in his movements,, marches so slowly.. He is a joy to watch..

If these people went to American or Calgary rodeo and tried to touch those very expensive horses they would loose a hand.

This horse is so gentle and content, with his licking and chewing and resting his feet!

People act as though they have never seen a person sitting on top a horse. Smh

I love watching these videos but get so angry when I see the people grab the reins, the horse's head, touch the guard. They are so stupid standing by a horse that can rip skin off a head, arm, or face. And it's an insult to the guard standing duty. How many of these people ask to get their picture taken with horse and rider? Few to none. My ancestors came from England about 200 years ago. I may be American by birth but I'm European by blood. Leave the horse and guard alone!!!!

I think the guard ought to point to sign u don't listen call cops an give out fines

The path is a public path which cannot be blocked off, and to put a barrier around the horse could be dangerous if the horse's was spooked by anything like flags, paper blowing around, anything.

I wish there could be Guide lines here, that tourists should be expected to follow, with some flexibility. Complying with Safety Instructions, would be first, followed closely with Good manners. No their bits cause no pain , they are trained with them from the beginning . Some horses mouth and play with the bit it's a bit like chewing gum .

This is Horse Guards, the ceremonial entrance to Buckingham Palace. The King is not there but it is a military building and is traditionally guarded.

I am beginning to believe people watch these videos to have a good moan, maybe it makes their day to rip into other people and brand everyone else as an idiot. You are actually mocking the Kings guards yourself insinuating that they have no control over tourists, of course they do, and are more than capable of looking after themselves and their horses. They could easily change the rules and not allow anyone to touch the horses but they allow their horses to be touched so why keep complaining. Yes they are working but they are a tourist attraction get over yourselves and enjoy the videos. After all our track record abroad doesn't smell of roses🌹

The bits they are using are clearly far too uncomfortable for the horses. In every video I’ve seen so far, the horses are constantly widening their mouths, biting and licking the bit, shaking their heads, and tossing the reigns around😢. You can even see very apparently that they are the wrong size😣

This is the army cavalry barracks. the army hardly ever does any policing since that's the MoD polices job or metropolitan police outside of the gates.

@@cathywhite9415 yes, I know that. But specifically while standing with horses in those dress uniforms they wouldn’t actually be able to do anything if there was an attack event. The armed police would handle that and likely the other Kings Guards who are not on horse duty.
