Ive been away from KPOP for years but I can tell right away, I'm not even that big fan of Super Junior to begin with haha.

This does it. He seriously needs to do this genre for his next solo album. I mean I love his soulful ballads but this. This is perfection.

I didn’t like it at all. I remember when we had ballads in the 80s and the 90s, horrible. Why sing ballads when you can see post punk, shoegaze, etc?

Ok, so I just watched the full episode and personally, I thought this was actually a good choice, a good song, and a great performance by Yesung. Korean netizens are fans of emotional ballads so the competing performance was right down their alley. I honestly want to hear more of this type of music from Yesung.

From what I know he cried a lot during his solo concerts that summer too. It must have been hard for him but looking on the bright side, good days always come. The following comeback (Black Suit) was totally his era and many new fans who joined the fandom joined as his fans, so his popularity within the fandom surged after.

His little hand gave him away hahahaha every suju fan would recognise that tiny hands right away

I can't believe that ppl still sleep on his and Ryeowook's vocals when they made it farther on this show than any other Super Junior members including Kyuhyun who has an amazing voice.
