King of Fighters Evolution [DC] - play as 2nd Krizalid

Ойындар

This is a play-through using 2nd form Krizalid in the Dreamcast version of King of Fighters '99: Evolution. Read on below for more information...
2nd form of Krizalid is the final boss of this game. He is a regular selectable character.
===== About 2nd form Krizalid =====
Design-wise, It's him with his coat off in full power mode. He loses the Fireball and Air Diving Kick of his 1st form, but gains completely new basics, specials and 2 desperation moves.
Under human control, he is ridiculously overpowered as all of his special moves have massive priority and every basic move besides his sweep can be combo'd into every special move and his Desperate Overdrive.
The light punch Tornado Rage covers a large range, wipes out projectiles and does high chip depletion; his Rising Dark Moon is virtually invincible; his Lethal Impact kick seems to win over absolutely everything in the game; and his Desperate Moment grapple, if connected, guarantees him a hit with the next move of your choice (which can be any special move, DM or SDM). To add icing on the cake, he builds his gauge extremely quickly... for example a blocked LP Tornado Rage gives him one level of bar. Oh, and he also has an easy infinite with the Desperate Moment as well.
===== Additional Information =====
---- For King of Fighters '99: Evolution, 2nd form Krizalid has a batch of new animations/sprites not found in the original Arcade version of him. The most significant ones are that he now has crouch animations and crouch basics. It has been reported that these new animations/sprites were unused graphics from the original Arcade version data.
---- As a playable character, he has a Striker move when selected as a Striker.
---- His 2nd form portrait image is no longer a black silhouette like it was in the original Arcade version.
---- The USA version of the game is simply known as King of Fighters Evolution. The title/logo of the game has been edited so that the "'99" (from the Japanese version) is not there anymore. You can see this at the beginning of this video. (you didn't notice it at first did you?)
===== About KOF'99 Evolution =====
Appropriate with the "Evolution" suffix, this is a much-improved (or different) version of the original KOF'99 game, designed to take advantage of the Dreamcast console's hardware capabilities. The port's main unique feature is that it has Extras Strikers, which are not found in the original versions of KOF'99. The two main Extra Strikers are Seth and Vanessa, whom both debuted in KOF2000. The other extra strikers consist of other KOF characters as well as characters from other SNK franchises.
Other improvements/changes consist of the use of 3D backgrounds during fights, new interface graphics, and the AST soundtrack. Also, 2nd form Krizalid is selectable like a regular character (with his own unique icon on the character select screen), and Real Kyo and Iori are immediately selectable.

    Gee... It's nice to see that this Games in the PS Era were precursors of today's 2.5 D fighting games, rather than other companies with the 3D obsession of the 90's

    Noticed. They just took off some chunks of the 99 logo to make it like flames. GENIUSES.

    Not really. That is a totally new logo unrelated to the KOF '99 logo. Because if the '99 logo gets chunked it would be too obvious for a 2000 game originally released in 1999 for arcades.

    Weel, it seems that this version of Krizalid is less powerfull thatn the CPU or the arcade controllable via cheats, cause the damage here is way bellow those forementioned versions...

    Wow, another lie Tips & Tricks magazine told us, in the same issue. In the Mega Man X5 issue, they said you could only get one Ultimate Armor in Mega Man X5 without a code, and you actually could. They also said, Krizalid was only unlockable in the Playstation 1 version of KoF '99. That magazine sucked.

    This version would eventually make it to the PS2, in KoF Nests Hen, a collection of 99 to 2001, with arcade and DC versions of 99-01.
