@@theblueflag That's absolutely mind boggling, and I know a lot more about the whole current (and former) cartel situation than I'd imagine most Americans do on average; times were fundamentally different (and better overall cause of how organized it was with everyone working in tandem) back when Miguel Felix Gallardo, the Quintero Brothers, and Ernesto Fonseca ran the show, as far as I know nobody was murdered just for singing about another plaza/cartel or figurehead (hence all the corridos) ffs too. I mean, you can't really expect honor among thieves and drug lords, but it was still vastly different back then, none of this foolishness and insane outbreak in violence (like how there's over 39,000 murders this year in Mexico, just so far), not as many sadistic psychopaths with their hand on the throttle (not that they didn't exist or anything lol) or Sicarios so militarized they can take on Mexican Special Forces (like the Jalisco New Gen Cartel).

All the real drug dealers are either dead or in jail. Believe that much. 9 times out of 10 rappers lie about their money and their experience. Maybe eazy e did sell coke but he'd be one of the very few who did. The only thing i like about drug dealer rap is that the beats usually go hard and the theme is usually hustle. That shit motivates me , but in the end its all fabrication. They need to make music that uplifts the community in a deeper way other than pretending to be the next chapo smh
