I’m so pleased that this video is as popular as it is, because James Newton Howard’s score for the King Kong remake added so much depth and variety to this film. The fusion of jazzy screwball comedy music for the NYC scenes, the tense and mysterious texture added to the scenes on the S.S. Venture, the horror elements on Skull Island, and the emotional heart of the scenes between Ann and Kong in the Empire State Building - - all of this was given to the film by Newton Howard’s diverse and ambitious score. It’s a real asset of the film

Tribal, brutal and horrifying. Love it.

Man some parts of this movie are pure nightmare fuel

You said it! Peter Jackson used to direct horror movies and it’s more than obvious in this film. Unfortunately, I think that horror element significantly diminishes the PJ Kong, even without the absurdly long runtime, subplots that go nowhere, the over abundance of characters, and the unnecessarily emotional end of a story about a giant ape. Basically King Kong was supposed to be a fun adventure story, not something that will scar you for life!

Really like this version of skull island.the new skull island looks like just a normal island like uncharted game series. Not felt so much depressing and fear on new skull island.this 2005 version of skull island really give me fear and a feeling for i will be dead if i stepped on this skull island(2005).

Only in the beginning really. When the apatosaurus and raptors appeared it kinda looked like a normal island except with a giant gorilla and dinosaurs and massive bugs
