This movie was made with a 1930`s flair. When movies were first made in the very early 1900s they were just a number of short clips lumped together in one movie. In the 1920s they started getting longer with a single movie rather than a bunch of unrelated clips grouped together🙂

Movies began in the 1890s. The first feature length film, THE STORY OF THE KELLY GANG, was made in 1906 and runs 60 minutes. JUDITH OF BETHULIA (1914) runs 61 minutes, THE SQUAW MAN (1914) runs 74 minutes, CABIRIA (1914) runs 148 minutes, and TE BIRTH OF A NATION (1915) runs 193 minutes. So no, movies got longer a lot earlier than some people think.

The earlier, shorter films were due to technical limitations, rather than artistic vision. Eventually, producers could create longer, more cohesive "movie length" films. The reason was that technological advances allowed filmmakers to move from one to two reel films, thus, permitting longer features to be produced. Check it Out! Ciao!!!

everyone knows that, its in the title, i think its because 0:40 was farther out and 0:44 is closer

@@brodyringuette Yeah, I meant that this movie is from 1933, so technology at the time made it hard to keep Kong’s structure consistent
