Creole is any language derived from pidgen, pidgen being a simplified version of an existing language. If pidgen is spoken over one generation it becomes Creole. Proto-Germanic ----> Germanic English(pidgen) ----> Common English Patois is a reference to creole or pidgen. ''Jamaican'' is a dialect, not a language.

In Jamaica we don't really get in all the technicalities of our language....the history of where it came about goes way back to slavery days....yea...extremely long story...long and short is that most if not all persons don't understand it because its not an "recognized" language worldwide
