Lucas' basslines are always killer, but on this particular record they are truly amazing.. beautiful and inventive, in the part that starts 4:36 he even gets a mini-solo that sounds like a fairy quickly tip-toeing underneath the sweet guitar multi-noodling. Later on the album, on Loyalty at 27:03 he's laying out a simple but sooo powerful bassline before yet another great flutey mellotrony breakdown. Waaaaa these guys are so good... hope they never break up, wish they never die

Yeah not only is their music rhythmically and stylistically bad ass, tightly performed but their lyrics and moods are also just very deep, like something epic and biblical, very philosophical. The kids of tomorrow will love this band in the future

This is my favorite performance of the song, every instrument is heard, the vocals have grit and gut, full of emotion.

Funny thing is if you play all their albums during a single party, people will think each one's from a different band.

I wish they had more of these kinda long progy songs

7:00 on - I’ve said it on another video and I’ll say it here. This transition is just so incredibly kickass. Ambrose killing it on the harmonica too. Goosebumps every single time

Polygondwanaland is one of the greatest rock albums of all time for me. Just how it tells a story without interruption and you don't even realize the transitions of the songs.

First time I heard this band was 2 days ago. I was tripping on acid. It was an experience and a half. Fell in love instantly

One of my fondest memories is seeing them play this live. It was my favourite song of the performance. The whole crowd was heaving and roaring; I'd never been in a mosh before, and I was part of a circle mosh during this song. The commotion, the energy, the movement, was truly electrifying, and that combined with the kaleidoscopic light show and the nature of the lyrics actually transported me to the world of the song: the crashing waves of the sea, the storm, and the castle at the centre of it

Everything I love about Early King Crimson, Yes, Jethro Tull and Gentle Giant in this melodic fusion of the best of those prog styles and more. Really Great. This is definitely on the top of my listen list for months and beyond. Thank you for making this music.

This is one of the greatest songs of all time..... for me anyway! Legends!!

Its a testament to this band that I feel like this song drags on way too long with the end perfectly embodying "overstays its welcome" AND YET ITS STILL ONE OF MY ABSOLUTE FAVOURITE SONGS I mean, what Goddamn musical magic is it that can make a song that I should dislike one I love so much? It's harmonic Heaven.

This band is new messiah. Thank you Gizz for bringing epic music in a world gone mad.

the tempo changes between 5/4 and 7/4 are crazy, so mesmerizing

KGLW are modern day greats. 50-100 years from now people will still be listening to this music and cover their songs. I saw them live at the Hollywood bowl and I felt like I was at Woodstock. It was their largest show to date and it felt like witnessing history. In fact, it is history.

This track would be absolute perfection if the riff at the last 10 seconds was like a minute long. I love that bit and always feel like it cuts off too early.

the way these guys are able to just get all this energy out and transform it into these crazy sounds still gets to me and ive been a fan of them for years. they work so well together! they guys are true "alchemists" if you catch my drift

This video makes me remember that Cookie DID shave his head once. In my brain he's terminally Pig-Pen in person without dirt covering him. He has that kind of nasally cartoony voice too. In that note, I like Cookie. It's a compliment more than a bad thing
