unironically some of your BEST works. the fluid editing is literally some of the coolest I've seen in your projects, and the VAS brought their absolute ALL. SUCH an interesting concept for a battle and incorporating all the singing was a risk that paid off exceptionally well with the production oml. Top 3 battle of yours for me. holyyy

This battle is so stylish on many levels. You even made the template smaller because of the nature of 1900s cartoons. And your animators are still killing it.

I dont know enough about Boogie to say how faithful his voice was to the source material, but damn I loved it. King Dice... God DAMN that VA deserves an award. Perfectly encapsulates the two faced sleazeball feel he has in the games. Absolutely superb battle! Also that growl he has in certain lines is just... *chef's kiss*

Absolutely. The video was visually engagin from start to finish, hardly any visual drops like too much white space. Not to mention the bars bein as nice as they are, it’s a great piece just by the visual creativity alone.

This madlad somehow managed to marge rap and jazz and not only make it sound amazing, but having an insane animation as well It definitely was a risky choice but it 100% paid off, hats of to everyone involved in this project

@@Someduude Here's how I had it. I edge the battle to Oogie because he had better flow, equal delivery, some basic rebuttals, and wayyy better references than Dice. Dice only mentioned Nightmare Before Christmas in implied passing while talking about his screentime and Disney, while Oogie actually used Cuphead, easy mode, and the Knockout text for bars. Dice was carried by some great sounding bars but they had little substance. His wordplay was better than Oogie's but Oogie wasn't a slouch either, with some good lines like burlaps, mugshot, and napsack.

That second verse from King Dice is my favorite verse in rap battle history, ERB, VGRB, SkeepTieel, just including everyone. I dont think im alone when i say i could FEEL that, it was perfect on literally every level

1:03 King Dices 2nd verse is legit fire, favorite part of the rap. He definitely won

Honestly, while the lyrics and visuals are great in this battle, the thing that instantly stands out to me is the 4:3 aspect ratio, which given the combatants, makes a lot of sense and I'm not sure how many people would have thought to do that. It's a wonderful touch.

This battle was fantastic. McGwire's singing really fit the whole vibe really well and went phenomenal with the beat. Really had that old school feel.

Surprised no one brought this up but King Dices voice is on point, it’s almost exactly like the voice in the Netflix show.

i genuinely cannot decide who won here, the amount of references to and from both, as well just the musical composition entirely, holy shit.

Holy crap, this truly might be the best Rap Battle for this year. The animation was top tier and both McGwire & Chase Beck were amazing in their performances. Truly tough in choosing a winner since King Dice had better disses while Oogie Boogie was outstanding in his flow. Gotta call a tie on my end, but main did both make it close. Okay I have to compliment you for how good this battle is I swear this is actually the best battle from you I've seen so far. From the visuals, the animation, the rapping, the music, voices, everything is just spot-on, and perfect I would love to see more like this in the future! keep up the good work people!

Holy shit, that was awesome... the beat, the performances, the disses. Nah son, this is up there with Kirby vs. The Very Hungry Caterpillar as one of your best battles. I'm not sure who won! On first listen I'm leaning towards King Dice but it's hella close because Oogie's flow was fucking *clean.* EDIT: Damn it, I can't. I'm calling it a tie for now - King Dice's singing bit and disses were fire, but Oogie had some heat to bring too. His better flow and D6-line can't be ignored.

A few notes First of all not only is this the best freshly kanal battle this the best rap battle I’ve ever seen Second this is my first and only battle to remain undecided they both hit hard and boogies second verse has my favorite flow of all battles Third of all this battle needs far more attention And fourth of all the animations and the backgrounds are easily the best so far not that the others are bad but these are STUNNING till to this day my personal favorite rap battle

I think it’s amazing that this guys channel was originally a parody of ERB and now loads of people are comparing him to them. I would argue some of his vids are better than some ERB ones so well done Dustin #freshykanal100K

All jokes aside, this was a great battle. The matchup works and the voices were great. Interesting choice to make it 4:3 instead of 16:9. But, due to their source material, it works. And fun use of the singing parts. Overall, pretty fun rap battle.

Me: Wow, all the comments are praising this battle to oblivion! I wonder why? King Dices 2nd verse: *Observe.* You can tell you all live through these battles. Brilliant.

you have no idea how many times ive replayed this video solely to rewatch king dice's second verse

The wordplay and vocals in this were insane.

"you look like the KKK went on too many lunch breaks" and "hail to your new king, baby thats A KNOCKOUT!" those were my fav lines it was amazing to do this video......THIS WAS FIRE🔥🔥👏👏

King Dice, purely because of his sick burns, and spot-on voice impression by Mcgwire. Fantastic job, guys!

Everything about this video is perfect, the music, the effects/animation, to them lowing the resoloution to make it feel like your watching it on a old tv. It just so amazing!

Freshy, I have loved your rap battles ever since I stumbled upon Willy Wonka vs Walter White. And here I was thinking nothing could ever top Loki vs. Count Olaf. This... this is incredible. The animation, the music, the lyrics, the voice acting. King Dice absolutely nailed this one with exceptional flow and a really cool singing interlude. My compliments to all the effort you put into these. It definitely doesn't go unnoticed

Nah none of those are actual deep cuts, all are clever word play (especially the d6 line) but not phenomenal disses. But King Dices second had some actual gut punches in there “I’m the dude getting Netflix toon while Disney didn’t want their name next you” “I got 52 cards but I’m not one to deal with you had 52 seconds in your screen time appearance” are especially good
