if you watch the spin off episodes is a scene when there is a meteor shower(this event happened before episode 20)at that moment they all made a wish ❤the queen (bong hwan) made this wish "Please allow me to go back to my original healthy body and for the king too, longer and longer than history said, please let him live happily ever after, like the prince in the fairy such. ❤the king made this wish " if I'm born again, i wish i can meet the Queen again .Even if misunderstand, hate and argue, I wish we can recognize each other in the End. ❤Lady Choi said that in the next life she wants to be the Queens mother ❤Hong Yeon said that she wants to be the Queens older sister in the next life. Sorry for my English

Yes I know I watched. Still does not change how it ended. I don’t understand what the point of that episode was. They could have at least shown them meeting up again in the present time or something. Instead it was just a disappointment and honestly a waste.

Cheoljung actually fell in love with BongHwan but he went back in the end. It was BongHwa's quirks that he fell for otherwise he would have still hated the queen. I felt so sad when BongHwan cried reading the history book and looking at Cheiljong's funny face and when Cheoljung said he is missing something.

Amazing edit amazing drama!!! I loved for the ending was perfect for me! The feelings never came from the chef, but from the queen and he spent the whole drama saying that, seriously, he never assumed for himself that he loved the king, of course he liked the king but not romantically, even when he wakes up in the hospital, he doesn’t act like he’s lost the love of his life, and another one imagines being "pulled" out of his life ?! that's what happened to the chef. The king fell in love, for the whole set of the queen, including apart from her as Soo yong, because she was always cohabiting with the chef. The 3 ended well, the chef changed his destiny, which I always expected from this drama.

Exactly, yes he cared for the king. But that’s it. All the feelings came from her. I think a lot of people are misunderstanding the kings feelings bc they think he fell in love with the queen bc of her sassy behavior. He would have falling in love with her if he would have known she doesn’t work together with her family and that she was the young girl from the past. So there were feelings before, it was just that the king didn’t want to like her. The guys soul helped a lot to change the kings mind, yes. The only thing i wished in the end that he met the reincarnation of the maid :D but all in all i was so satisfied

PS: I am exol too.

I think may be the king will know that the queen is not the same person. But he will not confront her, just like he did not confront the concubine about the book.

The ending that would've made perfect sense: We all know that the SY didn't like staying in the palace because everyone tried to kill her and all that. She was clearly traumatised and wanted to kill herself. I think all of us are clear with that? Now, we also see that BH and CJ definitely loved each other (someone said that the soul doesn't matter, if that doesn't matter then does the body matter more? What nonsense) In episode 20, when the Queen gets hurt and is resting, I would've loved to see a conversation between BH's soul and SY's soul (because they are in the same body so it makes sense) and SY realising to live for herself. So she requests if she can stay in the future in BH's body and he allows cause he wants to stay with CJ. SY does this because she wanted to start her life again (and that would've been wonderful because we all have seen how hurt SY was) so at the end, the Queen wakes up with Bong Hwan's soul and Bong Hwan wakes up with SY's soul and goes to the bookstore to see whether the history has changed or not and smiles when she sees that The King wins and also sees that Mr. Han got arrested (since both of them have each others memories and all that stuff, they also feel similarly ) SY (as Bong Hwan) starts her life again

Agree with everything you said in your description comment. It's absolutely stupid for the king not to notice the rather drastic change...and after he promised he would never mistake her. And SY just claiming his love for her own was no better than when HWJ lied about the well. Even if he was resigned to be with SY, I would have like some sort of true acknowledgement of what he lost - because his love for his queen, his true queen, was epic, and she helped him achieve all of his goals while this other girl hid from her first-world problems. The writers even deliberately kept their interaction (a lot was non-verbal) to a minimum - I think so they wouldn't have to explain and just skate over the truth of how awkward the situation was. His asking why she always used formal speech to him kinda broke my heart because it drove home again that he didn't notice she wasn't the woman he loved and made me wonder if he would ever explore that aspect or just be deliberately oblivious like Byeong-In was for the entire drama.

King fall in love SY before he knows her name. It's sweet. But, SY 's a daughter of An Dong Kim. So, King hate SY and denied her love. SY abosulutely understand it and don't see King's death in recent future. She is so sad when my love hated her and love SWJ very much. She ran away under lake. SY always inside in her body, her heart and shared her body with BW spirit. BW helped SY's spirit more and more stronger to express love King. Kisses is SY emotion not BW. He drank this night. BW is close brother's King and SY is King's wife. Happy ending. I really like final film. And I hope couple main actor and actress so happy together.

True some says it was So yong feelings that made the king feel for BH,the F****.. King doesn't even knew the real So yong coz once he realize who she is,he doesn't bother knowing about her anymore🤣 and once he decided to give it a chance it was BH already he meet and he fell for hard.Then So yong just come out and accept everything knowing the King real love was not even the real her,it so messed up...
