King Charles says he is "deeply touched" by well-wishers
The King thanked well-wishers during a pre-recorded Commonwealth Day video address, saying he was "deeply touched" by the messages he had received during his treatment for an unspecified form of cancer.
King Charles celebrated the Commonwealth's 75th anniversary and urged people of its nations to work together to find solutions to improve the world.

I have learned in life that altruism is a pill everyone can swallow, but the odds of one's choice swerve unlikely to one's liking. Through diversity, we serve to survive and endure regardless of any given history because togetherness, even gods, and the and the opposed entities know that a weapon of spoils of war for the betterment of all.

I never knew her personally, she never knew me but she was always the one thing that was a positive force for me, and I do believe, the country. Yes, as a family they have had their disappointment but that is the same for most families. The monarchy gives me a sense of permanence and my goodness, we need this when you consider our political class.

Elizabeth II was the greatest monarch this country has ever had. Whatever some people think of the monarchy it's without doubt that Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip loved and served their country immensely for most of their long lives. Whether that be in serving in the military in World War II or providing words of comfort in other nation dark times or supporting charities, it's without doubt that the Queen and Prince Philip did their best for decades to serve their country. King Charles III obviously won't reign as long as his mother but I'm sure he'll also do his best to serve his country for whatever unknown period of time he is to be our monarch.
