The thing that disturbs me the most is that Charles and his mistress publicly humiliated Diana, to the point of making her sick. Charles never tried to make that marriage work. He is selfish. I'll never accept Charles as King or Camilla as anything other than the mistress. Prince William should have taken over as King.

It’s so simple. Charles and Camilla fell in love early on. The family didn’t approve of Camilla, for various reasons, and had her married to Andrew Parker Bowles. While Charles was married to the quite literal last virgin in England. 19 year old Diana was young and naive. They could’ve told her from the start that the marriage was a charade for the public but no they had Diana believe he was really in love with her. They could’ve led their own private lives and it could’ve worked if they just laid the cards on the table on day one.

Charles could have proposed to Camilla and he didn't. Camilla could have waited for Charles and she didn't; instead, she married Parker-Bowles. Both were content to cheat on their respective spouses. This isn't some grand love story. Charles favourite mistress was Lady Kanga, NOT Camilla. Camilla just outlasted them all.

I haven't watched this, the title alone pissed me off, Queen Camilla?? Not a chance!! She will never be called Queen! We only had one Queen, I am glad I am English & experienced life under the reign of such an amazing woman. Which reminds me I have a photo I took of her as she slowed down in her big black chauffer driven car to wave & smile directly at me because there was no one else around, looking back at that moment in the late 80's there was no other cars, no armed protection, how times have changed!

However, once Charles became queen, Cam was queen, and the only way that cold be changed would be by her using a lower title or being given by law a different title.

I really thought this marriage was something that should’ve been made into an example. I know that technically Charles didn’t need the approval of HM but as a royal family they are held to a greater standard and are raised to lead as example. Especially if you are next to wear the crown after someone of long standing like the Queen. If his great uncle were made to abdicate the thrown to marry then so should he.

Charles can spent that kind of obsene amount of $$$ on this Camelia, jewelllery, clothing etc etc but Charles could not provide $$$ for the Harkles to have a good and safe start in life, what is Harry going to do wth his young family ??? That house they bought in Calfornia actually represents their dreams and aspirations as well as privacy for the children to run around. Why should they just suck it up and carry on lying for the BRF and be part of their nonsense and power struggle and just stay at FrogMore Cottage on the palace grounds. Why carrying this lies ? Why must Harry accept his fate first by being a spare and then cast aside when the brother has children and get pushed back? He saw what happen to late Princess Magaret when the spot light was on late Q.E and then did not marry the person she loved, give up, conform to this insitution and then marry someone deem suitable for the 'FIRM' and divorced and was forever unhappy. This whole thing about the BRF is a BIG LIE cos they cannot uphold the Christian values themselves or even basic intergrity and decency. Camelia children were so effected that her son got bullied in school and at one time took drugs when Charles went on TV and admit he has a affair on National TV. This BRF never learned. They can cover up and then expect ppl to conform. I am glad Harry left. This is not a family that one should hang on too. Megan is not the trouble maker, Megan is vocal and very American in her ways but Megan is not a trouble maker, this family was already rotting inside out and Harry has bottled it up till he met Megan and realised there is another life and another way to live and did it to protect his family. I wish the Harkles well. You know those self righteous ppl who attack the Harkles and Megan. they are no better but using media and podcast platform to have their 1 minute of fame. It called bullying and if we are in the Harkles shoes, we would also have alot of grievences to air. Alot of explotiations from all sides and no one is pointing and saying to the BRF that they are liars themselves pretending to be righteous when they are not. Charity begins at home and how have they treated P.Diana and even Harry. It all about upholding a fake facade for a few key ppl and sacrificing the rest of the familiy. My most troubling thoughts are how Camila was thrown in Diana's face nearly every time Charles had a function he had to appear and for a good deal of that time appeared as sorta a friend of Diana's. After Diana found out, this continued which I thought it was horrible of Camila to keep appearing everywhere they were. Seems I remember Diana saying that once Camila even left some kind of note on Diana's bed. Camila never gave a chance for their marriage to work out. That warmth Camila shows to people worked then too be as she floated around the groups of people that attended Charles'in functions. Just seemed like a stalking of my sorts.

As women age and start to get grey hair they often have it lightened or blonded because it looks more natural than perpetually dying the hair darker! Also Camilla never tried to look like Diana! Incredulous i am, how trapped people remain in time judging by comments. This programme aired 2004 7years after Diana's death, now another 18 years have passed and still there is no more depth or complexity afforded to the humans beings closest to the dynamics of Diana. I am absolutely delighted King Charles III and Queen Camilla ended up together, as their relationship is so clearly rooted in love, joy and affection for eachother. It's a shame the regulations at the time led to Diana being the one to marry Charles, they clearly didn't belong together. All this negativity makes me sad. Everyone has their own opinion. I did love Diana and was devastated by her death. It takes two to tango and in the Charles and Diana story there were lots of issues on both sides. "Recollections may vary". As for Charles and Camilla they fell in love and were deprived of that love by a very outdated view from monarchy. I truly pray that all the issues have positive lessons for the future. As a royalist and a realist it is time to move on. We have a new King Charles and wether we like it Queen Camilla. No matter how painful to many this has happened and it is time to leave the painful past and look forward a better future. I feel so bored about this ongoing saga none of us can change.

The order of British Monarchy succession is always determined by birthright not popular vote. Plenty of monarchs throughout history have had indiscretions in their private lives but still been good kings. @@deborahholden9417. No I’m sorry but I can’t agree with that, she’s not the beauty that Diana was for sure. I’m afraid I don’t know what “common looking” is, personally I think Camilla is a good looking mature woman. Like everyone else in the world I thought Diana was amazing, but sadly she’s gone and I feel Charles and Camilla should be left alone.

Pretty no she was ugly in her behavior and prince Charles was not good looking either.

I’m watching this in Dec 2022 & have now become anti monarchist under Charles & Camilla!!

Diana was not only a great flirt, she also acted wrongly when Charles was on the stage with her, she giggled and talked while he was speaking, very rude. I know because I was there. She did not behave the way she should have done. It was because of her behaviour I stopped liking her. Give me Camilla any day, she and Charles ARE soul mates and should have been able to marry him in the first place. Diana wanted to be constantly noticed.

It's so sad to hear that the queen's arm was twisted ,that she was forced to meet the mistress of the future King..her son,how disappointing for her.She was forced to accept her! Then Andrew...how sad and disappointing for a Mother of the future heirs.

True love does not have protocol. It's very sad about princess Diana Sadly there was no happily ever after two boys lost their mother initially I felt angry at Camille like she was a homewrecker. But really they were never allowed to be together because of protocol and other rules of the monarch. Charles and Camilla are a lot like Romeo and Juliet I truly believe in love. And truly believe that these two people belong together and have always belonged together much respect to the queen. But Charles and Camille have my blessing for a long and happy life filled with love and joy. Neither are spring chickens. And have been separated and have enough of tiptoeing around the rules of the monarch long enough just live and let live.. for true love makes any man a king and any woman a queen.

well without negative vibes, i really believe William should be the next King. Prince Charles will never be destitute . So really ??

really waht? Charles is king. The monarchy is not a popularity contest or elective. Charles became King when his mother died.

Their love for each other may be true or whatever, but they have hurt Diana and Mr. Parker-Bowles. At first they hurt Mr. Parker-Bowles who has to see his wife having scandalous affair with a bachelor prince. Then that's not enough, they have to drag Diana into it. Regardless of whatever Diana did, there's no refuting the fact that she was 18 years-old naive virgin when she married Charles, a man in his 30s. One can argue that if Diana had the chance to marry different man, maybe one who truly loves her, she may be faithful to him and lead happy life. That lost future is Charles&Camila's fault. In the end they can accuse Diana of cheating too, but they can't refute that Diana wasn't a cheater at the beginning of her marriage, and that she was treated badly by her husband that she sought comfort in other men outside her marriage. Charles was the original homewrecker, he wrecked Camila's marriage. Regardless of whether Mr. Parker-Bowles guilty or not, it can't change the fact that Charles wrecked his marriage by having affair with Camila, his wife. Camila was the mistress, the concubine who legally married another man. It's beggar's belief that the concubine ended up usurping the official wife's role and managed to become queen consort. As scandalous concubine who was married legally to another man, she shouldn't have been allowed to do that, even if it's just becoming queen consort.

what are you talkiing about? ANdrew PB was continually unfaithful to his wife, and was glad to get a divorce so that he could marry the lady he was in love with, in hte 1990s.

@@glen7318 what are you talking about? Regardless of how Parker-Bowles is, it's still fact that Camila cheated on him with Charles. If you write off Camila's sin because Andrew also cheated, then you should write off Diana's sin because Charles also cheated. Also, it's still a fact that Diana was not the one already in affair at the start of her marriage. Charles was, thus the C&C cufflink and the "whatever love means" comment.

He was happy to get a divorce when Charles spoke of his affair on TV, because he had fallen in love with another woman and watned to be free of his marriage. I dont mind Diana having affairs, I ojbect to her making such a fuss about Charles's affair when she herself had no problems with getting involved with married men

She did not break up their marriage. He ONLY married Diana to have and heir and a spare. Charles couldn’t even get a divorce from Diana unless the Queen agreed to let him. She told him have 2 sons and then I will sign for your divorce. He did and then she did. They both got what they wanted. Quit saying how ugly Camilla is ugly and Diana is pretty. That may be true but obviously not to him. You love who you love. Let him be happy. The Royals are not perfect they are people with a title.

You need to understand. Divorced kings who marry a mistress are tainted and not respected. Camilla could have waited for Charles when she was young..,,,,,the whole lot of them get away with everything,,,,yes even an unwanted child over 50 years ago!!! You should also listen to the podcast about the Queens 2 first cousins who were abandoned in an insane asylum. Katherine Bowes Lyon and her sister were declared dead 60 years ago. Katherine actually lived to be 90 and died in 2014. Not one family member was at the graveside. At first I was outraged,and yes it’s despicable that the Queen knew this. By the grace of God she was not born that way. It’s just a very sad story. So is the sad sad story of C+Cs secret son. He was given to a servant and he has tried very hard to get recognition of who his birth parents are but is blocked at every turn. His name is Durante. Just do the right thing,Charles!!!! Same thing happened to a Dutch princess,who is an artist, but she also fought for recognition for years. She won.
