@@bellegreycats490 Of course a commercial TV series covering decades in ten-episode seasons comes with a lot of dramatic license, but the fact is that Charles was a negligent and unfaithful husband and terribly entitled and unrepentant on top of that. Given how dearly loved and admired Diana is, a fact exaggerated by her early death...he will never get away with the hurt he caused her. Never, no matter what he says or does. Same goes for Camilla.

I’m from America so I don’t know much but what I have been reading and watching on this, seems horrible what Princess Diana had to indure. At the age of only 18 years old. That man was 32 years old when they met. He clearly knew what was going on and how it would play out. If he was in love with someone else he could’ve just not married anyone. However, he claimed the family forced him which to mean is hard to believe and to swallow that a grown man of 32 years of age would be willing to go with watever the family tell him to do. Shows a sign of weakness as a man, weak character and weak leadership. In the end he still married the women that he loved, so why couldn’t he put his foot down and done that from the beginning is my question? If you were to ask him that he surely wouldn’t have the answer. I look forwarded to the day when prince Williams takes the throne and becomes king.

I’m an American also and he should have grown a pair and told his mom he likes Camilla better and Diana she was probably a minor when she met Charles. In America he would of been taken to jail and the Queen or his mom would of been taken to jail too.

Yes she did, but the Rottweiler would not let go! She wanted to be Queen at any cost, that’s why she should never get her way. Charles should never become king because he is a divorced man. Now they say He is a widower, just a spin, how convenient, think that is why he or the powers to be had her killed so he could still be king. I believe that theory, as long as that theory is there he should not become king. Two good reasons.why they should not advance to To king and Queen consort!!

Charles and Camilla have helped to hasten the coming of the Republic. Can't come soon enough. As a child, I grew up thinking very positively of the Royal family. As I grew up and Diana was of my generation and the treatment of her turned me against them. But the whole debacle with Camilla and the death of the Queen has made me definitely decide Charles is not my King and I have no respect for anything to do with the monarchy. I know I am not alone in thinking this. I meet more and more people daily who now want nothing to do with the monarchy and cannot wait until they are deposed.

I don't blame only Charles and Camilla for what happened to Diana. All the senior royals are at fault too. They were playing matchmaker and Diana is the one who payed for it. They all knew that Charles wasn't over Camilla and pushed the marriage giving poor Diana false hopes and dreams of a happy ever after. Diana did so much for the world while she was suffering and even in her death the outpouring of grief was so extraordinary, I believe she single handedly ended the old fashioned idea of royal matchmaking and gave her sons and the other younger royals a chance at true love. Rest in peace Diana your role in the history of the British monarchy was full of suffering, but you faced it with incredible courage, strength and grace.❤

Diana and Camella are two completely different people, both in appearance and inside. How beautiful and lovely Diana is, Camella is the opposite. If Camella hadn't appeared, Diana would still be alive and would be the current Queen. Camella doesn't deserve to be queen of England.

@@zeenesa7134 I think it has to be an act of parliament to allow the future sovereign to marry as divorcee' or else permission by the Church of England to allow the king or member of the Royal family to marry a divorce/e. Princess Margaret wasn't allowed to marry a man because of this restriction. The only way Charles could actually divorce Diane and marry a divorce/e was because of a lot of behind the scenes work by various people. Unsure what exactly but do know it is not an easy process to enact. That is why King Edward VIII abdicated so as to marry Wallis Simpson who had already divorced twice. It is fairly easy to research using google on the royal family and the many "twists and turns" that have happened over the centuries!

The reason why Diana didn't want the body guards is because she didn't trust them they were leaking stories. Just letting you know that scene is completely false, we don't know what happens behind closed doors, and since it is a drama they will make it fit there narrative, Diana and Prince Phillip actually had a very good relationship, and he offered her advice and was very much a father figure to her, they were even on good terms before she died. But i love the Crown so much!! XD I just hope people don't take it as fact since a lot of it has been changed and the people in it are more like caricatures and dramatized versions of them. I don't mean to be rude i just have an unhealthy love for the royals >~

Lalain M : I'm amazed that nobody is doing anything about him becoming head of the church if he assends too the throne , as the church states that no divorcees ( far less adulterers) can be head of the church, and both Charles and camilla are divorcees . Charles divorced Diana before she passed away, so why isn't there anything being said /done before that happens

Barbh0 : much as I personally would hope for that I don't think Charles would be that big of a person to do it for his country, and for William it would be unfair to put it on him as I feel he enjoys being with his young family. Charles is most likely to be doing a lot behind the scenes to help the queen anyway. I hope the queen lives much longer, this would allow William to continue enjoying his family life for longer, and keep Charles and camilla away from the throne. Long live the queen I say.

By rights he should. If he had any decency left inside him, he would abdicate the throne and allow William to become King.

When Princess Diana confronted Camilla about the affair and Camilla was like “Men love you, you have beautiful children, the world worships you-what more do you want???” i can’t imagine what Diana was thinking. Like, um what did I just say? My husband??? 🤦🏾‍♀️ Let’s not be stupid about this.

Let's be clear about that, first and foremost. What do you expect a young mother like Diana to do with her life and time when she has to kowtow to Charles who takes their 2 sons to spend Christmas with the Royal Family every year while Diana has to spend every Christmas alone without her much-loved sons. They are what they are today because of their mother's love, guidance, care and upbringing. They weren't left with the nanny to plan their days. Patricia, do you think that the nanny would take them to Macdonalds and line up for their turns, rafting, movies, helping at the soup kitchen at night, feeding the poor and homeless. Did you do that with your children? Stop trying to compare your life and how you got through it, with Diana's life. Two completely different worlds......

And Camilla never ever wanted to back out!!! Even when she was pelted with bread rolls at the supermarket, she hung on to Charles for dear life.
